Is it at all common for women to think men can get sex as easily as they can?

For most women, sex seems to be like going to the zoo -- it's something you do when you want to, it's almost always fun, it's always there when you want to go, but otherwise you don't really think about it all that much. It's taken for granted.

I think you and /u/CisWhiteMaelstrom are jumping on this "women under value sex because it's so easy for them to get" bandwagon too quickly.

Women undervalue sex relative to men because biologically speaking, men care about sex more.

Nature made it so that the gender that craves sex more (compulsively) has a harder time getting it.

And that the gender that craves sex less (relatively) has an easier time getting it.

Why? Survival of the fittest an all that jazz.

The woman is the vessel. It doesn't make biological sense for the vessel with her limited eggs to desire to fuck as many people as possible and all the time. How would she be able to choose quality? How would she have time to focus on child rearing if all she cared about were her next nut?

Also if everyone were fucking with reckless abandon we'd have much larger issues to worry about.

Sex is 1000x more consistently "always fun" for men than it is for women.

I remember reading statistics that women are overwhelmingly more disappointed by the sex they had than men are.

It seems that when evolutionary biology and evopsych favors BP, it's gospel. But when they favor (or even explain) RP, biotrooofs are bad, evil, and false.

Except that the idea that women want sex less than men (and only get very horny under very specific conditions) isn't exactly against RP assumptions.

For sex not being "fun", there sure are a lot of women who have their "I just COULDN'T HELP MYSELF, he was SO gorgeous" stories.

Which is what happens when these conditions are met. I mean, why do you think are women so hypergamous and ignore the vast majority of men? Because they can never help themselves?

No, it's because most men don't register as fuck-worthy to them because they fall short in some aribitrary metric. But when they meet one who does (and they're ovulating), their self control goes out of the window the same as with men.

I thought the horniness was implied. Unless you are saying men are likely to engage in casual sex even when they aren't horny? I thought the common reasoning was that women went without sex, even when they were horny, because they didn't want to deal with safety and enjoyment issues. Correct? I thought the point was that when horny, bad sex was worse than no sex? I remember a very large thread making this point over and over again, the women kept saying that having bad sex when horny was worse because the women had to put in work, waste time, be uncomfortable, etc and at the end of it all they still didn't get off.

I don't think you personally believe this, but there are a lot of women who screech their point that "women want/like sex just as much as men do! It's just all the slut shaming that stops us from doing it."

You're ignoring the main point. You redirected people to this quote right? Your point seems to be that a woman will eschew the common reasons of women not engaging in casual sex, safety or non-enjoyment, due to horniness. I'm asking, how is that not contradictory? There were many threads with many posts saying that women simply would not have bad sex due to those fears. Of course the only time women would pursue casual sex is when they're horny, it's the same for men. That point doesn't even have to be argued. In discussions about casual sex between men and women, the argument is always "women don't like to do it because safety and enjoyment issues". But now you are saying that they will ignore those issues when they are horny. So we're back to square one, are you saying women do behave the same way as men when it comes to casual sex or not? Those two statements (women won't have casual sex due to safety issues vs women will when it comes to being horny) are contradictory.

We're not talking about situations when this woman is not horny, we're talking about situations where the woman is horny.

When men are horny they want to have casual sex, when women are horny they want to have casual sex. This is simple right? Men have risks or whatever too, so both sexes do the same thing - have casual sex when they are horny. However, so far the party line has been that women, in general, do not do this because of their fears, blahblahblah. However, your statements show that the fears aspect doesn't even matter, because horniness is enough to override it. Have you noticed that women continually use the excuse of "oh, women would rather just not have sex" when it comes to discussing the difference in saying yes to casual sex? Obviously there is a contradiction here. The contradiction being that women simultaneously have such high fears of casual sex that they won't engage in it (this being the primary response when the discussion of the difference between men and women in casual sex comes up), but that women will also engage in it if they get horny enough. Well, which is it - are men and women different when it comes to casual sex or not? If what you are saying is true, then what is the difference between men and women when saying yes to casual sex? Men have to reach a threshold of being horny enough as well before they say yes to casual sex, but even then there are men who have other reasons for not having casual sex. That's basic. Horniness -> saying yes to casual sex.

This seems pretty simple to me too, but you seem to not be able to see the glaring inconsistencies in your statements.

By "the topic at hand" I meant my comment, aka the comment you replied to, not the overall topic of the thread. In my top-level comment I said that women do have it easier than men but that our sex lives have challenges of their own, and you reply with a comment accusing me of saying men have it easy (which is the exact OPPOSITE of what I said in literally the first sentence of my post) and something about "making fun of omegas and betas while fucking Chads" which was pretty damn presumptuous since you don't know me from Adam, let alone the fact that it had NOTHING to do with the comment you were replying to. Yeah, women sometimes have a hard time wrapping their heads around the male propensity to talk shit.

I was the loser nerd in high school, and, based on what I was seeing and hearing, I assumed that all the "alpha" dudes (generally the jocks and the delinquents, though there was little distinction between those two populations, lol) were running their own little soft harems of cheerleaders and what not (since they were inevitably dating at least one cheerleader-type at any given time).

After high school, I upgraded my status from loser nerd to more in-demand guy, and I ended up hanging out a lot with one of the two most "alpha" guys from our class (post-high school life was not nearly so kind to him, so he actually looked up to me at that point). And that's when I learned the truth behind what was really happening sexually in high school.

Like, for example, this guy's cheerleader girlfriend rarely, if ever, put out the entire time they were dating, but he was getting regular blow jobs and the like from women I never saw him hanging out with or being affectionate (or even social) towards. Like my fellow nerd classmate, the valedictorian, who would blow him all the time after school even though she never had a date with anyone.

He gave me the dirt on all the other "alphas", too, and, apparently, they all had similar stories. He assured me that most of what I heard and thought I observed was primarily bullshit. They were getting laid, but not by who everyone thought they were getting laid by.
