Hypgergamy is when a woman goes for a man who is better than the men around her. A man who is taller than the men she's usually around with. A man with a better smile. Better hair. Whatever it is.

And yes, even tho I am not bi I can recognize an attractive man, and many times I see women with men who are more attractive than them(better teeth, hair, face whatever).

I have friends who have the proper weight for their height and they date women all over. Chubby, fat, skinny, it doesn't matter, the thirst is real, but the women I see on a daily basis and the women I am friends with are all dating or hooking up with the same handful of men: tall and handsome.

Women, worldwide, are only attracted to a very small group of men.

Women want someone of at least equal of higher value.

No evo psych here needed, even if it reinforces this claim. In the social market place most women can afford to chose their man. Lets say you have infinite money, would you buy cheap stuff that crashes after 5 uses or would you buy the best you can find?

The man just has to be better than the other men around her; or better than the man she's with. What does "better" mean? Usually it's either (a) better looking with more handsome face and more built, shredded or defined body; or (b) has a more confident and dominant personality and attitude.

Yes, yes, I know -- NonRP desperately wants this to apply to men too, such that men are "attracted only to women more attractive than he is." It doesn't. It never has and never will. Because men are not "attracted only to women who are more attractive than they themselves are". Men can be, and are, sexually attracted to women who are LESS attractive than they are. (How do you think Chad gets laid as much as he does? Because he's a 9 making a sexual career out of fucking 6s and 7s.)

The more attractive partner is the one who (a) could get laid easier outside the relationship or (b) would be able to replace the missing partner faster and more efficiently with a replacement of similar attractiveness.

The reason you are all seeing women in LTRs with men who are "less attractive" than the women are is this:

Most often, the woman has spent some time on the carousel, fucking much hotter men than will ever wife her up. She figures this out eventually, and sets her sights lower. She's a 7, he's a 6.

She is with the 6 not because she is sexually attracted to him; but because he has brought "other things" to the relationship, most notably (a) beta bux; and (b) commitment. He's not anywhere close to as arousing as the men she used to fuck. But, at least he's willing to support her (bux) and he's willing to stick around (commitment). She holds her nose, makes the trade, and exchanges her sexuality for his bux and commitment.

If he did not bring "other things", he would be completely invisible to her. The only reason the "other things" guy even comes into view on her sexual radar is because she now wants commitment and cannot get it from the hot sexy men she used to fuck.

That's why we have the divorce rate we have in the US. That's why so many of these men are so goddamn grindingly frustrated with their sex lives -- because they were duped and tricked into thinking these women actually wanted them and were sexually attracted to them. These women aren't -- they just wanted the bux and commitment. These men thought they were getting sex, but their wives just aren't into them and just don't want to fuck them. Courtesy current no fault divorce laws, these women do not owe these men anything - not even basic marriage obligations.

I can't fucking believe how many times this needs to be explained. This is basic, basic stuff- RP 101, people. Come on.

Many women have said here and on the other hypergamy thread that they are seeing lots of male-female matchups where the man is less attractive than the woman.

Again: The reason why is that she couldn't get commitment from a Chad or from the alphas. She looks down the food chain until she finds a beta bux who will commit.

The fact that she dates the beta bux, has sex with him or even is married to him does not mean she is sexually attracted to him. It just means the beta bux was willing to offer her the commitment she has now decided is "more important" than having sex with Chads.

Women are always looking for an improvement, or rather, their radars are always attuned for it. If an opportunity to swing branches exists, and won't result in a loss of quality of life, she will likely act out on it, barring social conditioning otherwise.

This also means that her partners will always be of higher SMV than herself.
