I think something we're missing here, and perhaps I read the article wrong, is that the people taking this survey are A.) single folks and B.) people who resort to online dating websites.

That's kind of a biased, horny group if you ask me.

The more I read, the more I'm convinced that I'm an anomaly. When I was on OKC at 36, I was bombarded by a huge age range but I'm pretty much exclusively interested in older men, preferably by a decade. It's not a daddy complex as much as I'm more compatible with old fashioned types that reject pop culture. I had lots of younger guys interested, even though my profile specifically said over 40.

So if she is 44 and she's attracted to 39-year-olds that means she's attracted to "much younger guys" ? Sorry but no, this is a lie.

These charts clearly show that there is an ideal age range for women and after that it's all downhill, whereas such a sweet spot doesn't exist for men.

However TRP is wrong about the ideal age of attraction for women. Women are attracted to slightly older guys up until 29. Beyond that they're attracted to slightly younger guys. Beyond 39 they're attracted to much younger guys. The same caveat mentioned earlier also applies to women.

Outside of my group of male friends, when I go out and meet guys in the "dating world" I find myself having better conversations with men in the +30 crowd. 30-33 seems to be the sweet spot.

I'm 25. I personally think it's because men in my age range are looking for one thing and one thing only and this dictates how they interact with me.

Hence I tend to be attracted to guys who can hold a decent conversation. Once I'm talking to you I already think you're physically cute, but guys in my exact age range tend to fail the maturity test.

However as I get older I imagine I'll be more holistically attracted to guys my own age because at some point men are going to stop hyper focusing on sex. I think that comes with age and being able to control how libido affects your actions.

That said my ex SO was only a couple months older than me and we vibed hella well.

All I'm taking away from this is that I'm looking forward to my 30s haha. Being sexy and financially stable sounds great to me.

I have some problems with the sample group, online dating and older singletons are not perfectly representative of the general populace.

That said, I accept the premise that young, fresh snatch looks best to men of all ages, creeds, nationalities, philosophical leanings, and so on, while women are more flexible in what they find physically attractive.

If I may theorize, I'd say women are simply less straightforward in their evaluations of attractiveness. A man's value, including some positive traits implied by age, bleeds into his physical attractiveness as perceived by women. Particularly older single women who have had their fill of alpha cock and are now more interested in provisioning.
