Hi, I was recently served with a Tresspassing notice by a University Police Department while attempting to reacquire personal items from an ex-LTR. A white knight of her's called the police for whatever reason, & I was issued with a trespassing notice and a ban from the entirety of the university.

I was not hostile with her, her friend (besides telling him that I'd put him on the ground if he laid hands on me), or any law enforcement officers that arrived on the scene. It is part the Police Department’s Policy to issue a trespass warning, and the warning is for the entirety of the campus. The Officers were very understanding of my situation & appreciated my cooperation. Two of them casually recommended that I appeal the notice with their police chief, because they thought the situation was a bit excess given the circumstances.

I don't mind being banned from her dorm hall, but I have godsons that plan on attending the same university & would hate to not be able to visit them if they do attend the university. I also have friends and other potential plates that attend the university as well. IF this ban occurs, it would have a bit of an impact on my social life. I have 10 days to appeal the ban in writing, so I would like to get some advice on how to best handle it.
