Hearing this sentence was simply enlightening. At breakfast this morning, a friend that I've recently courted into friends-with-benefits was concerned with "defining" the context of our relationship. She told me she has no crush, and no romantic attraction to me whatsoever, and yet somewhat paradoxically, desires sex from me. I asked her why she thinks that is, and she said -

"You make me feel important." (How so?) "It feels like when I'm around you, you could just walk away whenever you want, but you choose not to for my sake."

Gentlemen, I think the effects of the pill are really kicking in! I've come to understand the importance of demonstrating value. It's almost as though she had read the sidebar and quoted it to me. In my mind, this girl is out of my league - her body is straight out of a Greek myth! Lets just say I'm far from having abs. The thing is, I've been disciplining myself to outcome independence, maintaining an abundance mentality, and assuming I'm "cool" and working to make others feel "cool", when in reality, I'm just being myself and subtly encouraging others to feel comfortable being themselves too.
