who is Rollo Tomassi?

Yes, I know who he "is," in the internet sense. I just wondered if he'd ever said who he is in real life. Curious what his background is and what kind of credentials he claims for his work. Is he a psychologist or sociologist of some kind?

Tomassi is an obnoxious internet troll and one of the ringleaders of the Red Pill Cult. He runs a blog called 'The Rational Male' and is strongly connected to TRP Subreddit. He also comments regularly on TRP, PUA, and Game blogs.

 He's probably most infamous for his so-called 'Ironclad Rules' of relationships; most of which are complete garbage. He once said that PUA's have contributed more towards understanding interpersonal relationships than all the works on Sociology combined.

So I did my best to stay anonymous as Rollo Tomassi. Even when I became more anti-fragile I understood that if some hater couldn’t get me fired they would come after my daughter, my wife, my dogs, my extended family, etc. without any fore or afterthought. That’s kind of changing for me now. I’ve got three books under my belt (yes, there’s a fourth I’m working on too) and after doing really only two in-person talks it became clear that I needed to be more accessible.

Looks like he was right about something. He says he has appeared as a spokesperson on a few RP conventions.

He's willing to throw away the moniker because he's not that afraid of his legacy getting destroyed by a few nut-jobs who don't agree with him anymore.

I'd definitely agree with him on that part. If you're a small time blogger and even a spokesperson at a few conventions it doesn't take long for your name to get dragged through the mud because you happen to habour a view that isn't inline with the narrative.

Someone mentioned Jordan Peterson on here and he's the perfect example of that. I don't support the guy and I agree with SOME(not all) of the things he says but people plastered his neighbourhood with posters that he's a fascist and people should avoid him.

If you're a small time blogger and journalist imagine what a dozen people on twitter can do to you and your life when they justify their own actions for the hate they have for you.

He got the name from LA Confidential. In the movie Ed Exley makes it up to give a name to the guy that murdered his dad. "Rollo Tomasi" is the one that "gets away with it."
