I read the Rationale Male and in Sex At Dawn and in these books it states that women will try to have a provider for necessities and a second man purely for his sperm. I can understand how women would be unsatisfied with their rich husbands who are out of shape due to a modern lifestyle and may want a fuck boy on the side. But what I don't understand is how this could be some sort of prewired instinct that's been playing out since the beginning. Think about why this is absurd. If women were selecting for "good genes" then after thousands of years of evolution most men would be born 6 foot, jacked, and handsome. This theory is also ignoring that in the past having "good genes" and being able to provide/protect were synonymous since most food came from hunting and protection itself required muscles. This idea just doesn't make sense. What do you think?
