An old buddy of mine and I recently found ourselves in the same city after some years apart. Guy has been going through a lot of issues the past few years, and when I got here, I was shocked by how much he has deteriorated. He is a veteran with PTSD, divorced some years ago, can't get over ex wife, and is a full blown alcoholic. He hasn't been able to hold down a job in years, and despite me trying to do what I can to help the guy (spend time with him, encourage him to apply to jobs, and trying to get him out of the house) he just kept fucking up. He twice got a new job, and both times, after about two weeks I would get a call from HR asking me if I know where he has been because he hasn't ben to work in weeks. He has been living off his veterans benefits, which aren't enough to cover expenses, and he owes his landlord 10's of thousand of dollars at this point. Despite all this, he does keep himself in good shape and was able to hook up with a cute girl for a little while. He would always say that he wasn't that into her, she was immature, annoying and that he was about to end it at any moment.

Eventually I just got fed up , and one day after he made a spectacle of himself after getting drunk at 10am on a. Sunday morning, I cut contact.

After having not spoken to him for a few months, I get a Facebook message from his girlfriend. She starts telling me how his drinking has gotten out of hand, he's been insulting to her, got hired and fired again, and she asks me what I think she should do and if I can think of anything to help him. I tell her the truth, that I haven't spoken to him in months because of his issues, that I didn't see him making any effort to improve his lot, that no, nothing that she does would make a difference and that if she is so affected by it, she should leave him.

Eventually she leaves him, and tells me they're done. By this time we built a bit of rapport and are getting friendlier and friendlier. I had another girl I was seeing at the time who was definitely a BPD, so we commiserated a bit about the fucked up relationships we were in. We end up hanging out and we bang.

I continue to see her and the BPD girl for a few weeks, but eventually break up with the BPD girl. While I am hanging out with ex-buddys girl, there were a few days where my ex-buddy would blow up her phone, like 20 times a day. I told her that it was a bit fucked up, that if she didn't want to see him anymore(like she said) that she should just tell the guy to give him some peace. Instead she just blocked him.

Eventually things turn sour between her and I after I find out that she's hitting up one of my roommates behind my back. She insists that it's innocent, that he is a car expert and that she was just asking for advice on how to fix cars, but given the context of the situation and how she and I met, I can see right through that. I call her out on being a ho we make up a bit and then she does it again. At this point getting more disgusted and uninterested in her, but we continue to bang for another few weeks.

This week she goes totally cold so I ask her what's up. She says its that she "can't believe I would think that of her", that she "not the type to just hook up" , that she's "very hurt". Yea, ok.....

My ex-buddy hits me up yesterday and I agreed to go see him today because I plan on moving in a few weeks. Honestly he is a long time friend, and even though I don't see him and I being close again in the near future or until he gets his shit together, I still care about the guy and wish him the best.

This is where things get interesting... I call him up to tell him I'm on my way and he tells me not to come... that the girl showed up on his front door crying her eyes out... asking him why he doesn't love her?! Haven't heard again from him all day, so I am assuming she's roped him in.

Now for my question, should I tell this guy what has been going on for the past few months and that this bitch is manipulating him? Obviously I'm not proud of what I did, but I don't want this ho to fuck with his head. Even though he puts on the macho facade that he doesn't give a fuck about her, he was hitting her up 20, 30 times daily when she was ignoring him. According to her, he even asked her to move in at one point. The level of money branching with this ho is unbelievable. First my buddy, then me, then an attempt on my roommate, then back to my buddy when I call her out for being a ho? Should I break it to him, and if so, how?
