Broke up(29M) with ex(24F) in April. I initiated it after we had a few communication issues(arguments and hormonal stuff). She contacted me twice after and I didn't respond. I was silent for about 4 months before we talked again.

Things have been casual since then. We make out occasionally but no sex mainly at her place because my bros are almost always at mine, hence little privacy. But she initiates communication most of the time and cooks quite regularly for me.

I suggested it might be cool for us to start anew and she says she wants us to be proper friends first before anything is reestablished. Her reason was that we went too fast the first time and that ruined everything.

Now I'm seriously thinking about putting her on the backburner and getting serious with the 3 other casual girls in my life. By the way, one of the "casuals" is an ex that seems to have hit the wall and wants something serious-I just want to fuck though.
