My gf and I have been together for 9 months. We hooked up for a month, then went long distance for five months during the pandemic, then lived together for four months back at my place...I also just went across the country to meet her parents and stay with them for a week after she invited me.

Now, she wants to stay with them during the pandemic until March and says she doesn't usually get to see them often is coming back once her work makes her in March. She's in her late twenties.

Should I just roll with this and be understanding of the situation? I thought after the four months of living together and meeting her parents that she would be super excited to be back with me. I can see staying for the holidays with her parents...but four months until March? I told her I was upset about this and I assumed we were building momentum, she got upset and said I was making it all about me and that I had seperation anxiety and wasn't supporting her.

I'm just going to do virtual dates with her and focus on my own hobbies, but it sucks that I'm here teleworking during the winter alone with little chance to engage with social circles because of the pandemic, and also no chance to date others because we are exclusive and I love her. I feel held hostage and can't also help feeling if she had absolute desire for me that she'd come back earlier to see me. Am I overracting? Should I go back out to visit her? She invited me back for new years.
