At times it seems as though some of you are Wall Street execs building your way to the top whilst you count the millions, and at times it seems as though some of you are a bunch of "dudes" that just happen to work out.

I've made the same observation as you. I've dubbed these two stereotypes as The LiftBro Redpiller and The Suit Up Redpiller.

The LiftBro Redpiller thinks lifting is the answer to all life's problems. Girlfriend dumped you? Lift. Lost your job? Lift. Your car won't start? Lift.

The Suit Up Redpiller thinks that he is Alec Baldwin from Glengarry Glen Ross. He has a job in finance or sales, loves to talk about how much money he makes, and constantly extols the virtues of wearing a suit. He probably even wears a suit to a 4th of July backyard barbecue, because that's just how much he loves suits.

But, in response to your original question, here's who I am: I'm a 35 year old man who, about 4 or 5 years ago, started discovering the virtues of an IDGAF philosophy on my own. Before that I was a solid bluepiller; I was a serial orbiter (I'd get oneitis for a girl, orbit her for a while, then when I realized she and I were never going to happen I'd find a new girl to orbit), I seldom got laid, and yet I believed that somewhere out there there was "the One" and when the time was right the universe would bring us together. But after multiple rejections and disappointments I started waking up to the fact that I needed to start making my own happiness and stop depending on other people to give it to me. About a year ago I started reading up on red pill philosophy, and I was amazed by how much it resembled the set of beliefs I'd started developing independently over the last few years.

A day in my life is like this: On the days that I work (I work 12 hour shifts) I usually don't have time to do much but work, eat, and sleep. On my days off, I do whatever the fuck I want to. During the winter I go snowboarding a lot. But I also go on dates (I've gotten laid more over the last couple of years than I ever did during my bluepill years), practice guitar, work out, hang out with friends or family, go out to bars, etc. Life is good, and I'm quite happy with where I am. My married friends self-righteously chastise me for still being single, but when I tell them of all the fun things I do I can see the jealousy on their faces. I've got a happy-go-lucky bachelor persona and I'm unapologetic about my desire to remain single, which has caused the wives of my married friends to view me as a bad influence.

Stylistically you could call me a rocker. I have long hair, and I usually dress in tattered jeans and t-shirts. This doesn't score me points with girls who go for clean-cut preppy looking guys, but I've discovered that some women go absolutely nuts for guys who look like a rock star or a biker, and I've learned how to capitalize upon that.

I'm a woman in my early 30s. I wake up at 4.30 am, get ready for work, make breakfast for my husband and I. I'm at work by 6-6.15. I have a well paying job in a financial services company. I'm back home by 5.30. Then my husband and I for a run or we lift weights in the gym depending on which day of the week it is. We have an early dinner and go to bed early.

TBH, I came here to find out why everyone hates this sub so much. I stayed because I'm learning a thing or two. I read all posts about self-improvement. I'm also subscribed to other self improvement subs like getdisciplined and personal finance.

In a year from now, I will have the promotion I have been pursuing for a while. I will have run at least a couple of marathons and reached some aesthetic goals which I'm strength training for.

I'm a 27 year old male Postal employee, and spend most of my time working. I'm in one relationship, but I feel like this sub is good for grounding myself and preventing delusion, while helping me build attraction (not just sexual) and increasing my value to the people I hang out with. I'm always looking to improve myself. I've definitely got both blue and red pill tendencies in certain regards, and this sub gives me a language to think about it with.

I am 28 years old. I am a normal guy that isn't rich and had a tough time trying to figure my shit out in my early 20's. Didn't know what would motivate me after I threw religion out of my life. Found this place and I'm at least slightly more motivated than before.

I definitely am taking the advice of becoming a social guy very seriously. I actually go out sometimes and truly practice just talking to people, whereas I wouldn't do that so much before. People have definitely noticed my improvements and actually enjoy talking to me. A lot of the reason for improvement is thanks to this subreddit, so thank you.

The other aspect that I'm trying to make improvements on is self-control. I tried to understand why self-control is an Alpha characteristic like some of you say, so I made some efforts over the course of a couple of days one time. Let me tell you, it actually truly did carry over into my interactions with people. They interpret more of what you say as having authority and you care more about your interactions, as well as having more ability to affect your general actions and attitudes, once the little things in your life are under control. I don't think this can be stressed enough, so let me just say this the way I know how: beyond lifting, self-control, in my opinion, is one of the best things you can do if you're going to try and improve yourself and Alpha up.

More generally, I study Spanish like a boss, thanks to this sub, and I am going to figure out a game plan for learning coding. I have recently filed bankruptcy, but I have made the decision to change my direction in life. I am trying to cut out things that don't equal self-improvement, and that includes a lot of things, but this sub motivates me to focus on the important stuff and I always come back to find out what other people are doing and to share wisdom. Good stuff.

38 years old. University educated in IT and Business. I work for an international cosmetics company where I am the interface between the senior management & marketing/sales and the distribution/warehouse part of the business. I get to wear what I want to work and I can dress to the weather instead of the job. I have been asked by the Managing Director to play golf which is great for a guy who wears shorts and tshirts or tracksuits to work.

I have worked corporate roles in recruitment, not for profit, specialist consultancies and marketing. I lift at least four times a week and do things with friends and family. I own property and I will be married soon.

Redpill has turned me from the guy who tries to please everyone to the guy that people listen to when stuff needs to happen. Do what works for you, these are guidelines, not set in stone rules. What works for someone else might not be applicable to your situation.

Early 40's, childless never married (but lots of STRs and 5x LTRs thus far, all of which ended). Spun some plates for a while, but got tired of the effort involved and refocused on myself.

Canadian military, senior enlisted (Company Sgt Maj) - went reserve (i.e. stopped "active duty" to translate into American), now have a high profile job in a techinical field, making low-six figures. Not 100% white, but people generally assume I'm a white dude.

Day in my life is get up at 8am (I always hated early mornings in the Army), walk from my downtown condo to my office about 15 minutes away to start at 9am. Work's done at 5pm, then either go out that evening direct from work (no commitments at home) or I'll entertain guests at my place. Spend at least 3 nights a week alone, but wish I actually had MORE alone time.

Live by myself in a luxury condo, spend my time playing D&D once a week, and drum in a jazz / funk band. Go shooting most every weekend (training to get into IPSC maybe). Don't lift as much as I should - I focus most physical time on shooting, bicycling, and X-country skiing (I used to compete in biathlon).

Generally, women in their 30s and 40s are crawling over themselves to get my attention. I refuse to date moms (won't even plate 'em), though I made an exception once. Admittedly, I'm not fashionable - being frugal and being told what to wear for 25+ years, I default to dressing like an IT guy. That's a personal shortfall I'm conscious of and striving to improve.

With my income, home, high profile job, music hobby, fitness (fit, but not swole) and zero baggage whatsoever, a lot of women I know refer to me as "the whole package..." or "the one that got away" - invariably their SMV is well below mine.

Problem is, even if I exude an Alpha vibe, I get pegged as a potential provider because of my means and circumstance - so they all want relationships. I honestly believe that I'd have more sexual success if I downsized my home and reduced my income.

I'm probably different from most redpillers. I'm not a 30-year-old white guy that has an extra professional job. I'm in my early twenties and live like a college fraternity neither even though I never went to college. I grew up poor in the barrio and hung out with the cholos, which exposed me to real life redpill early on.

A regular weekday for me is waking up early as fuck, even though I have nowhere to go, because it's a habit I formed in high school when I was trying to get out of the habit of being late. I lift a little some, go to the park to run/talk to women, go home and eat breakfast, pick my main plate up from the community college she goes to, fuck around with her, and get ready for work. When I get back home, depending on my mood, I'll end my day, go to the gym, or hang with the boys.

Weekends though, those are strictly for fucking around. Fuck some plates or chill in the neighborhood, go to parties, maybe a strip club.

29 male here , i have a steady job , single ,no kids , i guess i know many people but have a small circle of friends (like 5)i do some recreational boxing training , my coach thinks that i should compete ,also do karate ,i love the outdoors ,i have a motorcycle project working on ,riding is fun, want also to get into sailing ,,my normal day is to get up maybe 2 hours before work , do my 8 hrs come home, sometimes play some game , got a back injury so i kind of laid back on the training , trying to pick up on reading , also i enjoy solitude ,love music , but honestly i prefer to be alone most times . came here by accident i can't even remember when . we had 40k people on here , and everything just seemed to fall into place .one of the things i learned here is to put yourself first , take care of you because if you do not then who will ?

I'm 18. From suburban CT, in college in an art school in Chicago. Just got back this week to CT. I have one month until I resume my job at a summer camp, June 13th to Aug 29th where I will be a lifeguard during the day and doing oddjobs/playing with kids at night. I've never been a lifeguard before so a large chunk of now-6/13 is going to be swimming instead of my normal workouts.

Typical day? Up at 8AM. Short workout, ice shower, free write. 1 hour walk with a book (usually philosophy, history, psychology, or science. Occasionally a novel or some theatre). Come home, make breakfast (caveman coffee with butter and whey protein, green shake, supplements). This month my big projects are: getting better at swimming, finishing up training for a Spartan Race in the first week of June, working on writing 5-10 new minutes of standup material, getting the hang of podcasting, writing some scripts for sketch comedy videos I'll be producing next semester, and my hearing-disabled Mom is gonna teach me how to lip-read, according to her.

I usually take an hour or two off to just fuck around and sing. I love music, but I had to get rid of my instruments after semester cause of no room in shipping box, so I'm just practicing vocals for now. I am a decent self-taught pianist, and am working on guitar slowly but surely. In college I max out my credits, with about 20 hours of class a week, 10 of homework. THat is divided this month into extra workout time, the longer walk+read, some free time, and extra comedy writing time.

As far as performing, I took the last 5 months off from standup. (Started when I was 16, so I have a year and a half then a 5 month hiatus). I'm getting back into it this month and hope to perform once a week minimum.

I hang with friends maybe 3 or so nights a week. Wish it was more, but I gotta get work done before Camp starts. I also enjoy mountain biking and cooking, and for this month I'm gonna help out my old high school's soccer team in their training every Sunday night.

Throwaway account because personal information. I'm late 30s, white, single, with no debts or children.

I left my home country ten years ago to work overseas. After a six year stint in Europe I moved to Asia where I've now been for three years. This place is enjoyably free of the bullshit that passes for society in the west these days. There's no fat acceptance, no angry feminism, no tumblr bullshit. No high taxes or government coddling. Folks are enterprising, self-reliant, and independent.

I work in finance technology, earning good money and paying little tax. I funnel my cash away from paper nonsense and into tangible assets, such as metals, property in high-growth regions, and collectible, investment-grade whisky. I believe that the current financial system of endless debt-driven pseudo-growth cannot last and that a reset is eventually coming; few of my investments are in western countries.

I live by myself in a small but modern and clean apartment about 20mins on foot from the city centre. Domestic help is cheap here so I do none of my own housework or ironing. My neighbourhood is full of western bars and restaurants, so I spend a lot of time out. I'm a big cocktail drinker and have good relationships with at least a dozen bartenders around town; excellent for demonstrating value/preselection, but mostly I just really enjoy well-made drinks.

I'd love to lift in the morning before work, but I feel weak at that time of day and every time I've tried it my performance has sucked, even if it does make me feel good the rest of the day. As it stands I get up around 7:30 and get to work at 8:45 after a 30-minute journey on subway & foot. I work until 18:30, then eat at a local bar or occasionally cook at home. On gym days I tend to go later to avoid the crowds, then eat afterward and get to bed around 23:00.

What's missing? I don't feel I get enough time to read, though that will come through better time management. I'm also not travelling as much as I'd like, especially given the destinations that I've got at my fingertips. It's easy to make friends here but more difficult to form good friendships like I had back home. Finance is a lucrative but boring sector and I'd like to move back into dot com when the opportunity presents itself. Endless politics, cost-cutting, stifling regulation and bureaucracy are the reasons I'd advise anyone against banking in this day and age. Identify a more enjoyable sector and shoot for that instead.
