AITA is the question-and-answer version of 2X: a bunch of harpies looking for made-up things to be outraged over so they can bitch about men. To see the good replies just skip anything heavily upvoted and open the ones that are collapsed from being downvoted.

The bottom line is that these women essentially want to make it a crime to be an unattractive man. They also want to be able to play the damsel-in-distress card to get their way. Among my other jobs I was a personnel officer in the Army, and I can say with absolute certainty that the guy didn't break any rules, policies, or laws. This sort of thing is even used as an example of what does not constitute a hostile work environment. Yet those women want the OP to fire a productive worker because a lazy woman claims to feel "uncomfortable" at work. Boo-freaking-hoo.

I can remember when feminists used to bristle at the suggestion that women weren't tough enough for the workplace. Then they pull crap like this and wonder why men don't take their complaints seriously any more. They wonder why men won't mentor women anymore. They complain that "men just aren't men anymore."

This is a don't shit where you eat situation. It gives management an excuse to get rid of your over paid ass without impacting their unemployment insurance. It gives your competitors a ammunition to use against you.

A woman will have no compunction in using "being uncomfortable" against you to save her job, get a promotion or simply for petty revenge.

I don't think the guy will be fired, he's too useful to the company. They already agreed to fire the woman.

This honestly has me seriously annoyed because it seems to be slowing productivity especially because we have an office of only 5 people. 3 weeks to the day, she is STILL avoiding him, so I ask what is going on and she just says she is uncomfortable with him. At this point I have a meeting with my higher ups and we decide it is ok to replace her with somebody else. He didn't do anything wrong other than asking her out which he obviously acknowledged he will never do again, and in all honesty I won't be able to replace him with someone of that skill level for the same pay so I am really torn.

Can confirm. Had a brand new SIMP IT manager at a casino I worked at and the one and only female in our entire department, who yes was useless, she got the job by sleeping with one of the main guys that works for the investment firm that helped build the casino, well anyway, we all had sesame street nicknames. I was stuffy because I am big a fluffy, we had an old guy Oscar the Grouch, we had big bird and burt and Ernie. Well off course she was little miss piggy. One of our guys was leaving, and she wanted his desk, far back corner furtherst from the bosses office, so I write up on the white board in the cubicle future home of little miss piggy.

Bitch went to the manager and complained, said she felt threatened and humiliated. Plus for reporting it, once they pulled up survalence in the office and saw it was me, said she was scared for her safety that I may physically retaliate against her for turning me in.

That not only got me fired, but got me a 1 year ban from the casino, 3 month is the typical "cooling off" period they give for fired employees to not come back to the casino.

Funny thing is I am the most easy going laid back guy. I don't get physical unless it is a last resort of defense against an attacker.

Only thing I can figure is she had seen me helping security take down a big dude a few weeks before that was getting out of hand st the live venue I was running at the casino.

Yeah... fuck women.

Co-worker A is interested in Co-worker B, and asks her out. Now obviously, this is something anybody should avoid in the work place so when this was brought to my attention I obviously had a talk with Co-worker A why this is not the time or place for that.

The way it was described to me was a harassment situation by HR. I asked what exactly he did and all she said is that he asked her out...when she said no he agreed and never brought it up again. So I asked, if he is doing anything to make her uncomfortable, or kept asking, etc. etc. and her answer was just that him asking made her uncomfortable. At first I thought the report I received was maybe blown out of proportion, but her responses make it seem like she literally went straight to HR just because someone asked her out. I guess that is ok if it is truly a concern, but I feel like once I let her know that I talked to him about it and it won't happen again, everyone should just move on.

Now, this happened about 3 weeks ago and I noticed they aren't really working well with each other anymore. I always communicate with my workers so I ask what is going on and Co-worker A says B is avoiding him. He already apologized, I talked to him about why this wasn't a good question to ask, and I talked to her already and told her to leave it in the past.
