We (21y.o) have been in a relationship for more than 3 years. We met in high school and started a relationship. As with any relationship, it was great in the beginning. Passion, sex, talking, dating, everything was at the top level. We had our companies, both she and I. My social life was much better. Over time, I realized that we are quite different. About 90% of things we disagree. We have different views on life and in other words - we are not for each other. Wondering why I'm still with her? Sunk cost fallacy. Unfortunately. I invested a lot in that relationship to break up. But not only that.
For the most part, I don’t want to break up because my social life is never worse. I have one friend I rarely see. The only person I date and talk to at all is my girlfriend. And I don’t know how I would go on living completely alone. I went to the gym for 3 years. I look better than ever. But monk mode is not what I would only want in my life. I would like to have as many friends as possible with whom I could go out, but I am very shy and introverted and I do not make contact with anyone. And I realized that I would end the relationship if I had friends. But unfortunately I don't have them.
