We proceeded to be fuck buddies for a while, then got serious. We've been married for going on 15 years at this point.

Women can pay their own fucking way (or at the very least, for occasional things), and the ones who refuse will add nothing to your life but drama and misery. Hell, the ones who do pay will add drama and misery too, but not nearly as much and will try to add value to your life.

If you want to date, don't want to pay much and feel awkward about making her split the bill. There is a simple way around this:

Cheap Dates: Go on super cheap dates. Ex: coffee, walks in the park, low cost museum, happy hour [pre-game before you get there].
Tell her up front that you are tight on cash.
After 2 or 3 cheap dates, ask her to come to your place.

If these are not options, don't pursue her. She is nothing more than a dinner wh0re.

I don't really see anything wrong with this apart from her calculating approach. If she does all the things she describes here I don't mind paying. Spending time with a beautiful woman who is not on her phone all the time is a fun hobby I don't mind paying for.
