I was that guy. This girl was showing strong signs of interest in me for a few weeks, and then one day she abruptly stopped and casually mentioned she started dating some guy that asked her on a date while she was at work, and started ignoring my texts. I legitimately felt suicidal to the point that suicide seemed like the only only way out. I was 24, had been unemployed for over a year, and this college girl, who was the very first girl that had ever shown signs of romantic interest in me, was the only source of happiness in my life. The very next day after she told me she was dating this guy, I got a high paying job offer 2000 miles away, and a week later I hopped on a plane and never saw her again. It took me months to get over her, but after I finally did get over her I realized it was a blessing: She was unattractive, obese, had a horrible manipulative personality, and had classical signs of PCOS such as hirutism and hairloss. I just had infatuation goggles on that made me think of her as the best and most beautiful girl ever, and the perfect match for me.

If a girl is showing interest within a week of breaking up with an ex, there's a strong possibility you're just a rebound or an attempt to make her ex jealous. Dude, if you ever come to read this...grow a pair! Grow a pair, develop yourself. Learn about yourself. Do not put undeserving women on a pedestral.
