Summary: Frame is needed in all situations because people will test it. Last Night my frame was tested to it limits.

Body : I'm drive for uber. I choose to drive at night because I live in city with a lively night life and most clubs do not close intill 4:30 in the morning. Around 4:50 am receive a request to pick up from one of the few hip hop nightclubs around. I have pick up from this nightclub multiple times without any problems so I arrive with that mindset. Upon arriving a woman gets into my car and ask her if she's my rider. (I ask their name and for the rest of the story the rider shall be call S and the woman club slut) Club slut informs me the S is just saying goodbye to their friends and he will be here shortly. I tell ok but I can only wait for 5 minutes then offer her a bottle of water. She takes the water and then starts playing with her phone. 3 minutes later S walks outside with 2 friends and they get into the car. The tallest one of the group got into the front passenger seat and I notice he had a drink in his hand. The state that I live in has open container laws in which even if I'm not the one drinking it I will be the one getting the ticket and uber does have rules against alcohol in the cars while using their system. I inform the man of this and that I'm willing to wait intill he drinks it or dump it but I cannot and will not drive intill it is gone.

S friend: No worry's I just keep it down here (put cup in lap)

Me: I can not drive with an open container in my car.

S: Don't worry man I'll tip you really well and our last uber driver didn't mind.

Me: I'm willing to wait intill the gentlemen drinks or dumps the drink but I can not and will not drive intill it's gone.

S: Dude I own this club I can you into vip no prob and it's my birthday can you make an exception this one time.

Me: I can not and if you wish to continue I will cancel your ride and you can order another uber.

S: You can't do that we already in your car.

At this point I had not started the trip so I grab my phone and cancel the trip.

Me: Your trip has been cancel please exit my car.

S looks down at his phone to confirm and then all hell broke lose. S calls me a faggot and threatening to report me to uber. His other friends proceeds to open all of my door and refuse to close them. The idiot with the drink gets with in an inch of my face telling me I'm lucky that he doesn't punch me right now and club slut is trying to calm everyone down. While all this happen I'm blank face with 911 dial on my phone and my thumb right over the call button waiting for these idiots to do any damage to me or my car. Unfortunately the bouncers and club slut manage to get them away from me and my car. With that I threw my car into gear and started to drive away. While driving away I heard one the bouncers yell at S that he'll loss his club if he does something stupid again. Damn it have been really nice to be owner of a night club.

Lessons Learn: Frame has to be kept no matter the situation. If I had let the guy kept his drink the cops waiting in their car three blocks in the direction we would have travel might have stop and this would have been a field report about how I lost frame and let myself be talk into losing my license and potential income.

Always be willing to walk away.
