The way I think about it is, if a dude or a trans person was in front of me with the same sort of tattoos I'd be thinking more in terms of their commitment to using their skin for what they consider art. In a way I can respect that.
If I'm going my own way, the fact that she's a woman should have no impact on my appreciation. If I'm not going to fawn over a pretty girl with tattoos why would I be overly critical of the same person.
