TL;DR LTR is not beneficial in the long time span.

English is not my native language, please be forgiving for my mistakes. It is my first post to this subreddit, have been reading TRP last half of the year, hope my thoughts would be interesting for someone.

A little background about me - exited my LTR about a half year ago, never married but have a kid with ex-gf. LTR lasted 8 years and it was most of the time horrible, even I was kind of purple pill guy, I think, because my ex-gf has undiagnosed covert NPD. I was staying in a relationship because I wanted my child to grow a bit at least to remember me.

Today it struck me about investment of resources into the relationship and woman of your choice in particular LTR.

When dealing with some kind of business or activity you would normally expect some kind of ROI, when you lift - you expect transforming your body into better shape, when dealing with women you would expect return of investment too, in such things like respect, sex, home made food, laundry, and other valuables. Now if you think about what you get from an LTR even when you act in a red pill way is it really worth it?

Let's say you have all this good stuff sorted: sex, food, pleasant conversations with your gf. What about downsides of the LTR - you are repeatedly dealing with the shit tests of your gf mixed with comfort tests, chances are that you are earning more than her and spending some of your money on her, helping her with the house, car repairs and other things.

Question is is it worth the effort? Your health costs money, and you are loosing health out of stress when dealing with the all that shit tests and nagging. You are loosing your time when helping with all that repairs and meaningless conversations when comforting her and you are loosing your money directly by spending your money for gifts, travel, going out with her.

From the rational point of view it's not worth the effort most of the time, woman's beauty is a commodity and it fades away with time, it loosing value. I might say if you don't cheat, your interest in her diminishes as well over time and as a side effect you are on the risk becoming blue pill again.

If you would look into LTR as a contract between two people, mutually beneficial for both of you, like a work contract, it would last as much time as it fits your expectations. If you raise your value over time (if you red pill aware, I hope you will) and the other side will not (youth and beauty) the contract will not be beneficial for you.

Lessons learned:

  • Don't invest much of resouces available for you into a woman if you are not seeing kids/marriage in the far future;

  • Protect what you have or will be having in the future.

  • Plan for the future, it is like long term investment in stock, the possibility of world economic crisis is always here, collect your revenue when time is right.
