Things that you invest heavily in are the things that will be the most painful if they collapse or blow up in your face (the pain moreso is intensified depending on how sudden/unexpected it was). You may not really care about some random $1,000 car that falls apart that when you bought it was already a dumb piece of shit. You will care about your car that you had for a decade that you pimped out and worked on with your own hands only for some thief to carjack it and set it on fire.

Women aren't invested in relationships. They don't even require effort to get into one, especially with how modern men are so cucked they'll do anything just to get a whiff of the golden vagina. Her investment is litearlly just showing up and spreading her legs. They don't need a personality, they don't need to stay in shape, they don't need any intelligence whatsoever, they don't need even money, the simps will accept them no matter what just because of their vagina. So you can see why they don't really care about their relationship; they have no investment in it.

Men however, especially cucks, pour everything they have into their relationship. They will grind themselves to the bone and work themselves to an early grave just to support the woman and the kids. That is why when the woman takes a steaming dump on that investment he is devastated. You would be too if your investment that you poured your life into suddenly blew up. Women aren't really that bothered if the man cheats, because she has no investment in the relationship.

Now, if she thinks she can find a better man, she'll use that as an excuse to drag him through the coals of family court to steal his shit, but it's not because she's actually heartbroken about the cheating. In a similar vein, there are plenty of men (especially cucks) who when they find out their investment blew up in their face because the woman cheated and destroyed it, they cannot move on and they stay with the woman in hopes of repairing a trash heap of a relationship that was damaged beyond repair. It would be like taking that "car that you had for a decade that you pimped out and worked on with your own hands only for some thief to carjack it and set it on fire", and rather than moving on from the car that is damaged beyond repair, you try to use duct tape and glue to keep it together when it won't actually do anything.

Women don't really love, not like men do. A man loves unconditionally, a woman's love is 100% conditional. A woman will only love a man as long as he makes her feel good about herself or as long as he is satisfying her hypergamy. Pretty much true. When a woman cheats she is looking to replace you. If she stays its because she hasn't figured out how to keep your stuff when she monkey branches.

High status/wealthy men can get away with it more because wife will not notice the money spent on the mistress and is away on business a lot. Once the affair is public how ever, the wife "cannot ignore it" and can clip hubby for a pretty penny, Jeff Besos comes to mind. Either way she wins, hubby funds her lifestyle and leaves her alone to fuck the pool boy, he gets caught she gets a chunk of his business/money.

For unmarried high status man the situation is even better, women will happily share him as long it is on the down low.

Everyone else further down the food chain its all about loss of control and security. Even if she is awarded $5K a month, if hubby loses his job and goes to jail because he is unable to pay, she is still out the $5k per month.

Cheating in the #MeToo era also becomes a problem as the relationship can be redefined as harassment rape or what ever forcing hubby out of a job. The other female employees do not feel comfortable around him yadda yadda.
