The thing i think that confused me the most about women was how much they prefered fleeting gifts. Flowers, chocolate, meals, ect... Things with a quick expiration date. Whereas, ive always been more interested in permanent, or at least longer term things.

I had a friend many years ago who was head over heels in love with this German stripper. They talked for hours. Didn't do shit. No lap dances, no VIP, no sex outside the club... Dude ordered $50 in long stem roses (teddy bear came with), and had it sent TO THE STRIP CLUB. She called him up all excited (of course she would, women love attention). She asked him to show up in person.

I wasn't doing anything, so I said "sure, let's go". We go down there, and she's bragging to the other girls (likely about how she has him under her finger). Gives him this big hug and kiss... Guess what.. Not 10 minutes later she acts like he doesn't exist. So he ghosts her. Then one day she has the gall to ask if he's gonna buy her some roses again. Needless to say I saw her and another stripper wine and dining their next simp target (single dad). They're all having dinner in the back. One day she shows up at my job with the guy, and his kid. Guess who is working in the kitchen? My friend. Guess what I do...

"hey buddy, you'll never guess who is here." He runs out into the lobby.. OMG, that shit was priceless.

Men don't need a holiday to simp. They do it every day.

Every time I bought flowers for a girl - gf, fiancee, date, whatever - this is exactly what happened.

One time I was out and saw some beautiful flowers on a sunny day and decided for the hell of it to buy them for fiancee (who I was sharing a house with.) It wasn't valentines for xmas or birthday or anything; I just felt like doing it.

Got home, presented them to her; she looked happy, took a deep sniff and said "thanks....ok, what did you do?"

"What?"

"It's not xmas or my birthday or our anniversary, so...what have you done?"

"I haven't done anything! I just wanted to buy you some flowers"

"Why?"

"Because they looked nice!"

She looked at me sceptically, stuck them in a vase where they died over the course of a week (She didn't even add water) and then got thrown out.

And that was the last time in my life I ever bought a girl flowers. That was about 25 years ago now.

Ahhh yess, I remember those days.

She got into a fight with me for some petty stupid shit the night before, so there was ghost town going on with no talking that day, I was still pretty pissed for her pretty much, well ignoring how I actually felt*because mens feelings don't matter shit*.

So I swallowed my pride and went and bought her flowers, well for her and the mother in law.

Since she was still acting like a bitch, I put them on the table and not presented them to her.

They were just left there on the table...

Man, this is just fucking stupid... Why do men put themselves through this shit.

Jesus, now that I recall, whenever she would start a petty argument with me about the most stupid shit, like some curtains or a piece of paper, I would tell her, why do you do this? Is this piece of paper really more important then how I fell? Or is this curtain more important then me? She would actually just stare at with that psycho stare and actually laugh?

That is when I realized that our emotions as men, they could not give a rats ass about them, it's as we're some kind of, well items/tools to just be used, shut up tool, you have feelings? loll

One time I brought my little girl a stuffed animal toy, my wife told me, what did you bring me? I said, myself. She rolled her eyes.
