"America's Top Sex Crimes Expert" says half of rape reports are false.

Quick synopsis:

Linda Fairstein was Head of Manhattan's Sex Crime Prosecution Unit from 1976 to 2006.
In 1987 she is quoted as saying "of these [reported rapes] about half simply did not happen". (There is an imgur screenshot of a 1987 copy of Penthouse which contains this quote)
Subsequently Fairstein changes her estimate of false rape accusations from 50% to 5% without explanation (it is suggested she did this to fit the usual women-are-victims "politically correct" narrative).

Problem is... and the reason this is going nowhere..... is that there's nothing to support the original 50% [are false] any more than there is to support the new 5% false reporting rate.

We know that about 5% of rapes result in conviction. Feminists would have us believe the remaining 95% are "he got away with it" and pressure the legal system to increase the conviction rate on the basis of this "fact".

We know that a very large chunk of these are false reports, but it's almost impossible to prove how many - I've read reports ranging from 10% to 50% of reports being false.

I'd love to see solid research into the actual false reporting rate - but unless this supports the manufactured fact that women are always fucking right, it will never get published.

"The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) reported that in 2009, 30 days after the initial complaint an offender been proceeded against in only 19.8% of sexual assault investigations."

That would make 80% liars.

"The ABS reported that in 2008–09 49.4% entered a guilty plea, and 11.9% pleaded not guilty and were convicted."

That would make 88% liars (give or take wrongful convictions or police making the mistake in not following up a case.. you could say anywhere from 70-90%.). You should note this is 'sexual assault' which can be very tame in its interpretation. It's not a major crime like rape.

This also only takes into account those actually reported to police. If we took into account women just generally telling people about it who don't report it, you could easily ramp that up to about 98% are lying. Those who go to the media first are almost always lying, hence why every major media case we see turns out to be a false accusation.

A big reason why a lot of "rape reports" are false is because of feminism, people are being taught that anything that could be considered unwanted sexual advances is rape. The word has lost all its meaning to me now, when i hear rape all that comes to mind is "ohh did someone flirt with you, and you werent interested" because that is what we see.

Feminism have watered down the word rape so much it doesnt even resemble what a rape is, and people fall for it.

"stare rape" "bening rape" "touch rape" its so much bullshit you cant even take the word seriously anymore.

I got interested in this topic a few years back, and read a few scientific papers that covered the topic within criminology circles. There are a lot of different studies on this topic, and the number of false rape rates vary between 2% and 98% depending on what study you look at. Within criminology itself, I think the consensus is that it's an unknown number. The best evidence I've seen among various studies was done by Kanin. This study was interesting because Kanin was able to replicate his results using two entirely different sets of data using the same methods. The number from the Kanin study was 47% were false and could be as high as 63%, but that couldn't be determined with certainty.

What's more interesting to me is to think about why this number would be so high. I would be startled if I found out that 63% of reported murders, arsons, or robberies were false. Why do women lie about rape so often? The reason, I think, is for the same reason why you hear so many women tell a guy some sob story. Oh, she was raped. Or she was in an abusive relationship. Oh, her ex used to beat her. The sob story is how women utilize men to get something they want. I think false rape accusations are just another aspect of women's hypergamy. She uses it to gain something.

Something that rubs me the wrong way,

Every chick I was "just friends" with, I had 3 instances of Bata orbiter for 2 to 3 years. And several other girls that I was friends with but not as infatuated with always had a bad experience where a guy took advantage of them and they don't want that to happen with me.

At the time I thought this was us getting closer emotionally and maybe getting closer to us having sex and dating. Now I see it as a controlling thing girls do and forcing you to slow down or to be put back in your place of giving her validation. Everytime I heard this I was pushing for most intimacy or more sexual thing because I had previously stated my intent to them about "liking" them.

In short they use this as a stop to keep guys in there place, and to not push sexually. Because they know they will be believed and you will back down, and it's a trump card everytime you try and push the sexual boundary they can hold you down with this and stop you. Where as the guy they like st the gym or that super sexy guy at the club, it never gets brought up .... gee I wonder why that is.

And that around 15 chicks raised in a semi affluent mostly white neighborhood. The number don't add up, just like 1 and 5 girls gets raped In college.

This is why I'm so skeptical of any girl opening up about any "abuse" that happened to them, go read raised buy narcissists sub reddit, it's mostly chicks bitching about their mom

And I know it's an exegeration but it seems every other post on two X chromosomes is a abuse or rape story seeking validation, And the OP never seems to follow up with results or convictions of their rapists... again this seems like it doesn't add up.

Police officers will tell you that most rape allegations end up being bullshit upon further investigation and a total waste of their time and resources. Man Woman Myth talked about this in the UK where detectives, many of whom are women, find alarmingly high rates of false allegations by women accusing men of rape.

I really like all of the numbers and quantifications that have been put in the response section.

that being said, I do not think you can discount the outright hijacking of words by certain groups. While a court and the police have a very strict and set definition for the word rape and the related crime .....

... well the internet is using the word a different way. ... and our campuses are teaching that it means something different as well ... and let's not forget all of the other groups and other sources of SJW disaster that roll the word down the hill and down the hill.

there is a reason that a woman says she is raped and belives it because it is what she was taught but is smart enough to know that by no way of the legal and civilly fair definition has come into play.

the "regret rape" being a favorite of everyone .... it was all consensual ... and then she changed her mind the next day.
