I live in the same state and am considering suing my now ex-wife's former boyfriend from 27 years ago for the same. He knew she was married and kept sending salacious texts and calls and ended our marriage. There are more details a while back in my post history if you're curious. Eventually I'll repost it as it's own thread.

My feelings is he knew he was wrong and therefore can subsidize my child support for the next 16 years. Those of you thinking she "got away free" keep in mind that she is miserable as far as relationships go as no one wants to date and marry a 40 year old single mother of 3 small children. I warned her as much repeatedly before filing for divorce. Meanwhile, I've gone full MGTOW, refuse to date or have anything to do with women, have been on 2 overseas vacations this year and spending my birthday next year in Rio for Carnival with friends. She hates seeing me so happy without her and has been hamstering back at me for a couple of months now. I play nice for our kids but that's it.

For the curious, Under NC law you can sue for Alienation of Affection if you can (easily) prove the marriage was happy before the 'paramour' stole your spouses Affection away from you. You can even sue others like in-laws as I would if I had more evidence but alas only a couple of recorded conversations of her mother conspiring to surprise divorce me later after my ex got a job and squirreled away money. I ended up doing exactly this to her/them which is why my former MIL hates me now for using her plan against them.

You do not have to prove sex occurred as that is covered under a different law, Criminal Conversation. I have tons of evidence in my case (texts, emails, and hours of recorded audio as NC is a one party consent state) proving Alienation of Affection and attempts by him (that I thwarted as I was checking the texts and audio recordings daily) to try and meet up alone. They met several times when my kids or her friends were present at public parks which I also have records of.

Bottom line guys, stay away from women especially if they are married and even more so if their husband spent 3 years in military intelligence and is quite adept at noticing changes to 'patterns of life', covering his ass, and playing the long game. I'm still waiting on my Oscar for best Actor for the months I put on a facade and prepared to leave. She was blindsided but again, that's another story for another day.

Those of you wondering why he should be held responsible and not her. He knew she was married and was even warned by the husband. He chose to continue the relationship which is why the husband sued. This is not something to celebrate. Alienation of affection is an absurd tort. The guy fucking this trashbag is not a party to the marriage, and thus owes the cucked husband nothing.
