That's the true message of MGTOW. Sometimes it's a place for men to vent to other men about the things that have brought them to this philosophy, sometimes it's a place to share news stories that will effect men, but the goal overall is to stop chasing women and focus on oneself first and foremost

The key point is making the best of your life, enjoying yourself in the days of your life and being satisfied with the best version of you.

However because we're guys we can get caught up with interactions with women which in turn stops, halts or restricts us of achieving the above. Thus the principal is to avoid women as you think best, to not be influenced by them and the societal forces that would restrict you and to avoid the myriad of pitfall risks that are directly correlated with women.

You will see a lot of shit posting / red pill rage posts that are hateful. And that's ok. One of the main functions of this subreddit is to express what you think. We don't tone police here - say what you want. Express yourself, and let out your anger if you got it.

Posters can also give out advice if needed or requested - there's 110kish of us here with the same goal in mind; so often we can try to help.

Yes. Remember though, that some some of your biggest life decisions may involve women, like getting married or moving in together. Don't do it. It's not because of any generalized misogyny, although that's what people would like you to believe, but because how society arbitrates the dissolution of those relationships when they don't work out.

MGTOW is not about women, it's about men mitigating the risks that society poses to them because they are men. This is through biased courts, workplace policy, Title IX tribunals at university, and on and on.

So the focus on yourself, your own needs, your own development, personally, professionally, and physically, is paramount. MGTOW is the understanding that, as a man, no help is ever coming, ever. At least as far as the state is concerned, as well as socially. If a guy falls on hard times, not even his friends will help him, our culture expects men to take care of themselves.

So that's what MGTOW is, become the best version of yourself each and every day, at all costs. Don't let anyone stand in the way of success. Prioritize your own needs above all. It may be perceived as greedy but MGTOW is actually very pragmatic, logical, and makes common sense. After all, even if you wanted to take care of someone else, you can't do that until you take care of yourself.

Feminism has been telling girls and women that they don't need anyone, that they can be independent and succeed on their own. That's really all that MGTOW is telling men and boys, but nobody has done that. Men and boys are supposed to just figure it out.

Once you realize that nobody gives a shit about you, it's liberating. You start to live life for yourself instead of others, and it's beautiful.

Also, it doesn't mean you can't have intimate and loving relationships with women, it just means you don't marry them or live with them. It's not about hating women but it does require that you understand them and how they make decisions.

Half correct.

Correct as in: that it is focusing on our own happines, wants an desires. Basically the life that makes us happy.

The incorrect part is "it has nothing to do with women".

This is/can be partially true. Some mgtow men want to leave a single lifestyle no matter what; and then women has nothing to do with it.

There are also a group of MGTOW men that would actually want to have a family, cohabitate with a woman and/or have children. But because of the current way of society, divorce court being horrendous towards men, redicuous high child support for men, false rape aligation easily a way for a woman in a breakup to ruin a man his life, high seperation rate, children taken away from father in divorce, etc..
They think the risks are to high, and to common to happen. And thus they opt out.

They are also the "type" of mgtow whom might still date and so on, without cohabitation. They are also the ones whom probably keep more up to date with the current situations in dating, relationships, etc.. They are also more likely to post things about being happy when a woman hits the wall after riding the cockcarousel and can't find a beta bucks man: "where are all the good men". And things like that. Because such man feels (rightfully so, to a large extend); that he was robbed of a (somewhat fair) option of having a family/children for his own.
