A post I recently read about not being afraid to tell girls you like them or find them attractive (title: "Don't be afraid to tell a girl straight up that you like her or..." - it's a long title and I wrote just the first part of it, but it should be easy to find for the interested people) got me inspired to write a post about people still unplugging who post women/relationships advice on this sub.
I urge people to read the post (or at least the title because it's a good tl;dr) AND the OP's short "Shameless bragging plug" story at the bottom of his post (the story described the event I believe had inspired his post). If you find reading the title and the story too difficult because of your busy lifestyle (nevermind the fact you are on Reddit at this very moment) I'm afraid the next paragraph won't make much sense to you, so you can just skip it and start from the one after it, you lazy-ass.
Just to be clear I DO agree with the OP's post (although the main theme of the post had been written about too many times), but it seems to me OP had great success the day before and was experiencing the "afterglow" of that success. That "afterglow" is a feeling I think most of the swallowed-the-pill-some-time-ago-but-still-unplugging community of this sub can relate to and I think the OP himself is a part of that community - you know, the one where you had read the sidebar, the contents of it had hit you like a hurricane so you started implementing the advice into your own life and are currently still working on the whole improve-yourself-approach-and-get-laid nitty-gritty part. I made the conclusion that the OP is a part of this community by the way his post is written (it reeked of excitement) and by putting into context the "Shameless bragging" story at the bottom of his post.
I consider myself a part of the aforementioned community and I'm pretty familiar with the feeling of confidence and revelation one gets after a major breakthrough in life (think of the first time you successfully approached a girl or got laid... sweet Jesus getting laid felt relieving and empowering, I remember I played 'I Just Had Sex' by The Lonely Island the whole day afterwords) and that afterglow makes one feel like he gained some deep knowledge that is to be shared, especially on this sub (been there done that) but at some point one realizes that the confidence one gains after an experience from the day/couple of days before is not as grounded in reality as the confidence one gains from months/years of experience, whatever that experience may be (relationships/people/musical instrument/career etc).
This post is intended mainly for people still unplugging and the point is to dissuade them from posting anything women/relationships related on this sub before they have an abundance of experience with women and relationships (this includes the OP of the referenced post). This is the reason I myself refrain from posting on this sub even though I sometimes think I have something to teach others - but then I realize I am still a novice and it takes a master for the teaching to be beneficial.
And if the OP of the referenced post reads this - my perception of you is based on your post I referenced here and on your submission history. Nevertheless, you got laid - congrats bro and I mean it.
The point of this post still stands - DON'T post relationship advice unless you are a master!
EDIT: I'm not saying only EC's should post or only this or that guy should post. What I am trying to say is: before posting here one should ask himself if he really has the authority of experience to be teaching others something new - if the answer is affirmative, then post away my friend; otherwise "go and train" as one commenter wrote.
Some self-awareness is all that is asked.
