Saw a story of a 31 year old man who raped and infected a 15 year old and got 95 years. But I think the violent nature and use of a knife had a huge role in the sentencing. But still 3 years compared to 95?

Wonder what formula and info they used to determine that 12 years would be equivalent to a life sentence...clearly equal in their eyes for the most likely death sentence she gave the child, but we r never told how they come to it. Even if told, id think they have a bias to women and not hit them as hard.
