As the title says, I've been thinking a lot on this.

I've been here for awhile, and have made several posts here and there commenting on society and the lack of decency. This sub has become both an outlet and a muse for me. It's sort of a hobby of mine, to be an armchair sociologist.

My latest observation and thought has been on how this whole thing could have been avoided.

Right now, you have men going their own way, feminism swallowing up THOTs left and right, and about three entire generations who are completely and utterly fucked. To say that gender relations in western society are fucked, is to put it lightly.

We all know this, and I won't go very deep into that on this post. Instead, I've wondered how we got here and if it could have been avoided.

I thought a lot about what men really want/need, and why men are leaving society. Pretty much all of my observations, discussions, and even personal experiences have come down to a very few simple things. Men just want loyalty, decency, and intimacy. From those three attributes, many other positive aspects may flourish. Most men don't necessarily require a 10/10 physically, or a PhD in astrophysics. They don't require a $250k/year salary. They don't require much else outside of those three traits.

The average man wants to find a partner to share his life with, who he can have children with and build a home. Someone he can feel comfortable about being there for the long term.

That's it. That's all.

Men will provide, protect, and treat that with in-kind with so much more.

So then, why is that not a thing? Could we have avoided the clusterfuck we're in now?

When I study on these behaviors, I've mostly found that the majority tends to be from people under ~30-35. The millennials and the generations who are behind them. Sure, there is shitty behavior in every age group, but it doesn't appear to permeate those groups as pervasively as it does the aforementioned ones.

Society has shifted in a fundamental way. What we define as "acceptable behavior" doesn't remotely reflect what used to be. We have abandoned many of the mechanisms and institutions that were in place to encourage people to be loyal, have decency, and follow morals.

Today, it's "old fashioned" or "not cool" to be conservative (in the literal sense, not necessarily politically). Instead, we have accepted rampant degeneracy and no longer discipline children from a young enough age to prevent it.

Let's say for instance you have a child. A few generations ago it was acceptable to be strict parents, specifically when they started to come of age. When the hormones started going ape-shit, parents used to put strict rules in place to ensure they didn't fuck themselves up before they even left the nest. Things like curfew, screening calls, and having to meet their romantic interests to give approval were common.

In years past, you had to go up to a girls door, ring the bell, and sit and talk to her father before you could take her out. And if you didn't dress in your best suit, cleanly groomed, and didn't bring a side dish for her parents, her father was likely going to give you the boot right off the bat.

Then, when you went through the interview process, you had to explain your life ambitions, list successes, and prove you are stable, have good intentions, have a solid work ethic, and are trustworthy before you could have access to his daughter. Even then, the rules were very strict. Nothing under the clothes, back by 10PM, no drugs or alcohol.

And that system largely kept both male and female in check. It promoted stability and prevented decadence for the most part.

Now, none of the above is enforced.

Kids are partying by the time they're 12 or 13, lots of the parents are enabling it by providing alcohol and lack of supervision. Parents not only aren't preventing this behavior, but they also aren't teaching why it's bad in the first place.

So what you end up with, are THOTs and CHADs who are allowed to go into puberty with no guidance, no rules, no restrictions. They're partying and fucking before they even have a drivers license.

They have no sense of responsibility.

So naturally, these traits of loyalty, decency, and intimacy will not develop. When you can just go bang anyone you want, and then bang someone else tomorrow, and have a party on the weekend where you get to drunkenly bang four more people, there is no incentive for you to limit yourself.

And it fucks people up mentally.

By the time they're in college, it gets amplified by 10x. We have smartphones in our hands by the time we're walking, we're on dating apps and social media by the time we're a teenager, and none of the degeneracy is filtered.

In fact, larger society shames parents who might still give an attempt and protecting their kids from getting so fucked up, to the point many of them stop trying. It's frowned upon to be a helicopter parent, or overbearing. You're a controlling freak if you want to meet your daughters suitor.

So what happens? We all know the rest of the story from here. The late teens through twenties will be spent in a never ending orgy, jumping from one relationship to the next as the FIRST sight or sound of even the slightest hardship. Because society has told women they deserve the best, no matter what, and that they don't need to settle for anything less. Because society has told men that they're worthless and if a woman cheats on you, it's your fault. Society has put both genders with a knife at each others throat, and they'll cut it so fast you won't even know what happened.

And then when these fools finally grow up, around age 30, most of the men have been treated so poorly, and most of the women have slept around so rampantly, that they won't even have anything to do with one another. They're so broken and pumped full of toxic ideas that you can't fix it.

Many older guys here have experienced shitty behavior in relationships, but it's nothing compared to what's coming for the younger people. Men will walk away in droves, and women will continue to latch onto feminism and scream about the patriarchy being the root of all of their woes.

When it could all have been avoided.

If we'd have just stuck to some of the basic principles of a functioning society, and encouraged loyalty, decency, and morals, many of the people who are bitter at being sold a lie wouldn't be in the boat they are now. The lie is that the life from a few generations ago is still attainable. The very people who lived that life are the parents of the children they've fucked up, and they don't want to admit how terribly they've failed as parents and as a society, so they keep selling the lie.

It's all so simple, if you really think about it. We just threw away every tool we had to keep society a polite and functional one, because it was the easy thing to do.

I do realize much of this has been intentional subversion of western ideals. The idiots who fell for it, though, are just as much to blame as the ones injecting this bullshit into our society.
