I assume you think that because you believe women in general are not knowledgeable or reasonable enough to decide on 300 million people's lives. You're wrong, and I'll tell you why.

No one is knowledgeable or reasonable enough to decide on who gets to control the country. Having a popularity contest to decide who rules is a stupid idea, only set in place because of the other, also stupid ideas tried before, failed.

There's a nice quote, which roughly says "If you give children the right to vote, policies would reflect the 'legitimate concerns' of children to have 'adequate' and 'equal' access to 'free' french fries, lemonade, and video games". You might think it supports your point, but that is true to every demographic. Expanding the right to vote will mean that more policy will be made to satisfy the voting demographic. That is true for women, but it's also true for men. It's true for the poor, but it's also true for the rich. Having a specific demographic be forbidden to vote will certainly stop the inflow of policy designed to appease them, but why stop on one? There's always one more demographic to remove the right to vote so that we stop the crazy lawmaking. Until we go back to landed vote, and even then, the rich are not exempt from legislation that benefits them.

The root of all your problems are not women voting on stupid shit, it's the fact that there is someone right now, holding the power to do stupid shit in the name of it's constituents, and removing the constituents is not the solution, it's removing the power.

Even if it were the case there's no way you can take away women's right to vote. They got the right to vote because they formed collectives because of communications systems like the telephone and social media. The loudest voice wins. I personally think you should contribute to society to be able to vote. If you are on any kind of assistance no vote for you. If the government takes care of you and yours you lost the right to vote. If you don’t work no vote.

You should also have to take an IQ test. If you aren’t on the normal range or above your vote doesn’t count.

If you aren’t a natural born citizen or have not gone through the process of being a legal citizen, no vote for you.

If you are a convict in jail you don’t get to vote.

I’m pretty sure all those points I mentioned were the norm. Well all but the IQ thing. I still feel you should pass these simple criteria’s to have the RIGHT to vote.

I actually read an interesting argument for this. People who don't pay taxes should not be allowed to vote. Well, single mothers are the top recipient of welfare and social payouts. Not to mention the women who do have jobs actually work in some cushy government job, so they dont really pay taxes either. Think about it.

It used to be that only white landowning men who were over 21 could vote. I don't think there needs to be a racial component anymore, but men over 21 who are net taxpayers (Pay more income tax than direct benefits). This business of "hurr 16 year olds have to live with decisions longer" needs to stop. Your brain doesn't stop growing until you're 26, and 21 is a good median age where you are able to drink, own firearms, drive, and gamble, so you should also be able to vote.
