It's a travesty that most teachers are female. And they complain about male dominated careers. And when I say travesty I mean for the children not the male teachers. Children benefit greatly from the male influence.

I am a male teacher and I can confirm that many students share your opinion. Men offer a different perspective, style, and approach. Also, boys need male role models...especially when so many are raised by single moms.

Yes, all my best teachers have been male. Males are able to understand how you think and learn, why you want to do well, etc. and specifically tailor the experience to you. Ever male teacher I've ever had was quite the eccentric.

Females are just like "here's the shit, copy it down and learn on your own time. test on friday."

Honestly, I had great teachers and #$%#$ ...complete fucktards. I can name male and female teachers on both sides, male, female, fresh, old, in-between, etc. All teachers that taught me normal lessons and life lessons were teachers, gender never mattered.

Oh totally agree. I didn't have many male teachers, only 1 in primary school and he was a PE teacher who was great. In high school I had several more, mostly in the trade classes; woodwork, electronics, metal work, but also for one year a male teacher in computers, graphics and history. All were great except for my year 12 electronics teacher who was such a dipshit. On the other hand, I only had one female teacher in all my school years who was competent and liked her job. She was one of the most hardarse, hardcore person I've ever met and I am thankful that I had her in my final school year for English as I credit her with me getting into university. The first assignment I handed in for year 12, she gave back to me and said and I quote this; "Shimakaze4, this paper was shit, it's literally a 0. If you want help, come and see me at lunch". I'd never failed any paper in English and looking back on it, it was because every single English teacher I had was female and every single one of them was fucking shit. They either didn't bother correcting my work or were just so shit at teaching that I didn't learn anything. I went and got that help at lunch, this was the only female teacher in all my schooling that I felt taught me something. She was a take no shit person, but she loved her job and she knew it back to front. In my 34 years, I've worked with and associated with many women, but she is one of only 2 women who I've felt were competent at their jobs.

I was a very active kid that always asked why. I wanted to know fucking everything, and I was enamored with how things worked. From time to time I would have trouble understanding some concepts.

Admittedly I'd have to ask a stupid question or a challenging question to get the ball rolling in my mind. When this occurred most female teachers (looking back at it) took that as a form of aggression against them. Most of my female teachers would mark me as a great student with "citizenship issues." It seemed like the female teachers I had were unable to deal with questions from a boy, I would hear their tone shift if a girl asked a question.

After some adjustments I would convince girls to ask for me, if the teacher was a particular cunt. Those teachers caught on and their hate train refocused on me. Often times female teachers seem to have a class on precarious cliff with the way they led. Adding a certain element of stress.

In sharp contrast male teachers found my questions as a means to go on a tangent. As a means to provide analogies my simple child brain could use to connect the dots. The male teachers would sometimes change the class lecture for the day, as to make it more palatable for that class of student. These male teachers were so fluid and capable of handling critical situations, they never let things phase them.

Granted not all male teachers were like this but I found 80% like that. The other 20% seemed to be equal to the average tier of female teachers, those that spouted out a thousand times repeated lecture with cookie cutter quizzes and test.

This was during a time when male teachers were in about 20% of my classes.

Every male teacher I had thought highschool was a gift and made learning fun.

There were a few female teachers I could say the same about but 90% of them were just there for a paycheck and didn't give a fuck about the students.

There's only one female teacher in my electrical engineering program. She's a PLC programming instructor. That's all she does. I took the same class from a man when I was in mechanical engineering and he was great. When I compared notes with the people that took the one from the female teacher, she only covered half the stuff and the students were still confused as fuck about what she did teach. Thankfully I was able to opt out of her class.

I think its more about passion for what they're teaching had one English teacher who loved what she did and was amazing. Had another and it was just a job to her and I didn't learn much that year.

Well, I had a few crappy male teachers, but the best teachers I ever had in school were men, so I agree with you.
The few female teachers I had which were kind and not bitchy were pretty stupid.

In any subject where 'hard knowlege' was meant to be taught transferred, it's always been men. STEM and then Geography and some history.

The females taught engligh (<-- I made a typo but decided to leave it for the ironic humor), home economics, sex ed. I found the women to be prideful, I think it's an over compensation because they know that stuff ain't hard.

I also do find that the men were more energecic, compassionate (in an encouragement way not in an 'awww, how are you feeling' way) and had confidence and a sense of humor and wit.

I find, as a general rule, women experience learning diffferently than we do. They learn the 'facts' and the 'rules' and it never goes beyond that into something enlightening and philosophical (if and when possible). This is what is calle 'rote' learning although some people call it 'book smart'.

By repeating steps, they can get to the same answer but any deviation or slightly different perspective or path (ie: there's more than one way to skin a cat) is quickly 'corrected'. I believe this triggers a 'threat' fight or flight response in women. It's like it throws their whole world view (which is solipsistic) into question.

I believe this is the true nature of women. They wiggle their ass and expect a response in the positive. When it is not received, this causes great confusion and embarrassment which threatens their 'social value' (even if it's only preceived). This causes great anguish in the female. It's like "Wait, the steps aren't working... why isn't this working..." which is never answered with "Maybe it's me" or "maybe he's a unique individual"... it's immediately answered with "He's fucking with my head somehow!" or "he's trying to intimidate/harass me!"

It's TERRIFYING when the same old tried and true process doesn't work or if there's an alternative approach. Even if the alternative approach isn't as efficent as the old way, it's still a completely valid working model, but that's not good enough for them because they know the 'right way'.

Everyone learns the same facts and rules. But females seem to grab unto that and hold on for dear life.

I think this expecially plays a role in the law. They see the 'black and white' of the laws, but I don't think they understand the 'spirit of the law'.

Which is interesing because the 'soft sciences' are highly pilosophical and opinion based. They always seem to go into those roles, but they never seem to ever get the 'pilosophy' and 'nuance' and relative scope of things. They cleave to the black and white. It gives them comfort because it gives them control.

The bible puts forward the idea/question that we know stealing is illegal (a sin in the bible) but it also calls for nuance with questions like 'if a man steals a loaf of bread to feed his starving family, is that the same thing'?

It's mean to invoke some empathy and nuance. Perhaps the guy went to the bread maker and begged to work for him for a loaf of bread, maybe he even offered to suck his dick, but the answer was still no. So what choice did he have?

Of course when it comes to stealing a loaf of bread from the men, they don't care. But if a man does it, it's viewed as a breaking of the law and treated as a capital offence without any questioning of the circumstance, without empathy, without nuance, without any mercy what so ever.

This is what truly demonstrates their solipsistic selfish nature. If it works in their favor, it's ok, if it works in a mans - OFF WITH HIS HEAD!

Come to think of it all the teachers that I really thought were good were all male, not sure if that was just luck of the draw or not. I also went to an all guys school for part of highschool and I have to say I think it was much easier to learn in that environment and it was nice not having to give a shit about what women thought about me.

Also a female teacher who taught us history in the past seemed very low energy, was a total bitch, terrible teacher, and fat to boot. US history (the class) had about 5 or 6 goddamn wars (not including the world wars) and every single one of them was a mere mention or a worksheet/packet. She was obviously teaching to the girls and her projects reflected this as well. Almost every project was a group project to make a poster, and those that weren't were marked down heavily for not being "neat" or not coloring well enough on it (that's right we still had to color like a bunch of mentally deficient 5 year olds when we were in goddamn 8th grade). Hmmm I wonder which gender benefits more from useless projects, busy work designed to make them feel smart, and fucking coloring assignments.

I've not known too many women who teach the same subject as me, but they tend to be either women who are laid back and connect easily with kids are stuck up sjw's who think the world owes them everything.

Majority of my teachers in primary and secondary were females, they all had issues, however my support teachers or student assitants were really good, these women knew how to get a kid to Learn and pay attention, my english wasnt the best in school and my suport teachers helped a lot, fastword to college, all my teachers are males and oh god did i have a laugh and fun in my class, walked away with the highest grade and in uni same, all male teachers who just were brilliant.

I remember when I was taking Global History in my sophmore year of HS. Male Teacher. Dude made it really easy to understand. I got a 95 on the finals. I had a female Geometry teacher who didn't bother to help much when I'd asked for it because I couldn't understand something. I think you're making a good case here.

My favorite teacher was a man but I also had a very good female ela teacher who was pretty hardcore but also fair and nice. First day of high school the Male teachers seem pretty nice and energetic, but oddly, so do all the women. The female teachers are usually bitchy from the beginning but we'll see what happens with that. Many female teachers I have had in the past have gotten angry when questioned. 2/10 would not reccomend.

They changed our history teacher from last year. Last year it was woman, this year it’s man, which is uncommon, because 85% of teachers are women.

Because high school is really just a daycare that provides no applicable skills in the economy.

On the other hand 90% of female teachers are really bad teachers, don’t care and are full of pride.

Sounds like the typical prissy mothers who nag about working harder than men by taking care of the children.
