Moving answer, how did you introduce these ideas to your wife after such a long marriage based not on these principles?

Does she know that you consider yourself to be "red pill" or have you made changes in your marriage by changing yourself letting the ripple effects speak for themselves?

I prefer to think as TRP as a filter to determine if she is a short term hay romp or worth some of my time.

This. Absolutely this. I'm still in the new and exciting stages of my Red Pill journey, and I've recently made this realization myself. The Red Pill is a filter: in determining a woman's value as companion, in selecting a lifestyle congruent with your primal masculine motivation, and in so many other ways.

If you use the Red Pill only to bang many women, without regard for the value they bring you, without discriminating that some women are a cut above the others...you're missing something.

The same goes if you're so intent on a long term, monogamous relationship that you use the Red Pill to attract and secure one woman only, without recognizing that perhaps there are other women who can provide equal or more value to you. You still have blinders on.

The Red Pill allows you to build your optimum life, the life of the primal Alpha inside you. This life contains many women, or one woman, or several, all at varying stages along your journey. The Red Pill is indeed a filter, a philosophy, not a dogma or religion with these types of limitations.

Maybe.

The red pill is about understanding how men and women interact. I use the knowledge here to better understand the modern male female dynamic.

Being a red-piller is about having an open mind and rejecting the idea that women and men are the same. Some would say that that's sexist, but we all agree that women and men deserve equal treatment under the law, but being able to acknowledge that socially, and biologically men and women are different in many regards is what TRP is all about.

I've had much more success and happiness in my relationships with women because TRP taught me that I don't need to derive personal value from what women think about me, that I have needs and being open, upfront, and true to myself is important. I've made female friends because of TRP, I've had one night stands because of TRP, I've even had a monogamous relationship because of TRP.

TRP preaches that being alpha is important, and being alpha to me is about respecting yourself. If you respect yourself, and if you don't allow someone else to be that basis from which you derive value you'll have greater success in any pursuit that you undertake.

Married, with high hopes that TRP makes it last until death.

Many short term relationships. This seems to be what I'm good at.

No.

I just do my thing.

[–]toysjoe1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Neither. I go my own way.

A mixture of both. Consistently crushing high-class puss and then breaking the girl into someone nuturing and feminine is great fun. (It's just like training puppies! But with sex!)

All in all, it's a very fulfilling hobby, but that's all it is. A hobby.

Gray area in between.

[–]MartialWay2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Both. One of my major problems is that I don't LIKE treating women badly. If someone treats me great, I love taking care of them like a princess. Unfortunately, that can make me safe and boring.

Unapologeticly banging other women gives her just enough drama to satisfy the hamster, allowing me to treat her great in every other aspect of her life and still keep her respect and devotion. Competing with other women keeps her sharp....and happy.

That's a good way of looking at it. I already had the best marriage of any of my friends before the red pill, and the red pill has only made it better.

I've started to think "you'd better not cheat on me" is just another one of their shit tests, like everything else. The response when you break that rule and she knows you broke it really shows you who is in charge, and who is more afraid of losing whom.

You've established that you have options, and she has established that her best option is to hope you don't leave. That is a good foundation for any relationship, plus you get ass on the side.

[–]MartialWay-1 points0 points1 point 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I used to work so hard to hide the other women I'm sleeping with. Now I have to pretend to be cheating even when I don't have a sidepiece. It actually improves the relationship significantly.

[–]TheIslander8290 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I like both, actually. I'm great at both. I'll have periods of LTR, then break up and start the rotation back up again for some months, then find a quality girl that I actually enjoy (LTR with that one), break up, start the rotation again, etc.

22, engaged to a woman I love a year older than me. Been cohabiting for 2+ years. Relationship has been going well, but a couple months ago she started getting into femen culture online. I was especially disturbed by the amount of rather convincing bullshit in the Damsel in Distress documentary. Brother introduced me to TRP earlier this week in an off-hand conversation. Hoping to use TRP to nip this femen BS in the bud and continue our happy healthy and balanced relationship.
