I've literally never heard anything but a thank you when holding the door for someone. I make it a point to get the door for people who might have difficulty doing so themselves -- such as people in wheelchairs, if they're carrying a lot of shit, or if they're on crutches. I don't go out of my way to help women, but I also don't go out of my way to inconvenience them either.

Every day I visit a gas station on the way to work.

Most days I hope the door open for people going in/out before I go in.

99% of men say some form of "thanks", "thank you", or a head nod.

All women say nothing and just walk in/out.

It's pretty ridiculous. I used to work for the same chain (6 years) and that was the case every day.

The most recent times in which I've opened doors for a couple of "ladies ", the ungrateful wretches didn't even look at me, much less said thanks. I've seen that many of them, even if they're a dubious 5, think themselves completely entitled to have doors opened for them. I actually have said "screw it" and haven't held open doors for some girls. Other times the gentleman instinct kicks in and I still fall for old behaviors. Still, as we know, female behavior is getting obnoxious. And as commonly stated before, most of the guilt falls on this gynocentric government, and the rest falls on the ridiculous and pathetic enablers know as white knights.
