I was fortunate. My stepfather married my mother when I was 9. (I had two older brothers, 10 and 12 at the time) He held us responsible for our actions. Over the years taught us how to hunt, fish, camp and live off the land. How he did that and put up with my harpy of a mother.........He was a good man. One of a kind. The shit he put up with from my mother... god bless him. He taught us how to be men despite my mothers lunatic rantings. I honestly do not know what the fuck he saw in her but he gave it his best shot, honorably. And when I turned 18 (I was the youngest) he divorced that harpy bitch. (my mother) He told me the only reason he stayed was to make sure that we all (my brother and I) moved on and left the nest. When I left so did he. Fukkk he put up with sooo much shit from her......I raise my glass to him.

Maybe the kid should be allowed to express herself, and if mom would have real discussions about life, sex, and responsibilities rather than preach gospel and use emotional manipulation to keep your kid celibate....

Your kid wouldn't be showing off to boys, she'd be confident in who she is.

She'd have boys coming to her asking for her respect and attention.

She'd feel free to dance any way she wants without being self conscious.

She'd need respect in a relationship, rather than looking for the one sided domineering her mom gave her.

(If you think you can tell your kid they're going to hell or you'll disown them because they have sex IS IN FACT emotional manipulation; it is not good parenting. Ask any child psychologist if you don't believe me)

The extreme cases are the dance moms, the cheerleader moms, and the gymnastics moms. Essentially they are pimping out their daughters under the guise of "art".

An example that comes to mind is the debacle of the show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. Specifically where the show got cancelled because Mama June started dating the guy who had gone to jail for molesting her older daughter. Now to clarify, I'm not defending the man. He's still a monster. Yet how convenient that as soon as the pedophile came on stage the (I presume) mostly female audience threw the whole show under the Mama June sized bus, not asking themselves "Maybe I shouldn't be encouraging women who dress their little girls like prostatots." But no. Women can't do no wrong.

I dumped a gf because of her kid. He was 8 years old and she let him stay up till 3 in the morning and fed him shit whenever he asked, fat little chub. It enraged me because he was a smart kid and with proper guidance he could of became something. I tried to insert some rules and discipline in the house but I work 12 hour days. She just let him run riot.
