I think it's just the modern world we live in. In the earlier days men had the upper hand, they could publically shame women for being whores, hell they could even visit a brothel openly and still come home to their wives if they wanted and their wives knew but couldn't say much. Ofcourse I don't think that's the correct way either but women took advantage of all the rights the simps/cucks gave them and made it even worse.

Men are not "naturally" disposable. It's extremely stupid human culture that's the problem.

From a purely biological perspective, male disposability makes absolutely no sense. Consider Parental Investment theory. The caloric investment into raising a boy into adulthood is much greater than that for a girl. How is it logical to throw away so much caloric investment and treat it disposably, in an environment that has scarce calories?

The 17-to-1 reproductive success ratio happened due to Agricultural Revolution, a technological advancement, and the ensuing change in culture that allowed very few men to become very wealthy. So it's not "natural." The "overall" historical reproductive success ratio, or ancestor ratio, is 2:1. But how much of this is simply skewed because of that particular period 8000 years ago? If you take that period out, it would be closer to 1:1. Fischer's principle explains why sex ratios tend to 1:1 in humans, and it is because of reproductive success chances.

The problem with cultures is that they tend to tremendously outlive their initial usefulness, by THOUSANDS of years. Does anyone seriously believe that Martyrdom is required in the middle east for survival? Do the Japanese really have to commit Seppuku for survival? Humans come up with extremely stupid ideas (such as Australian aboriginals sending their boys alone into the desert on a "walkabout"), somehow miraculously these stupid ideas lead to survival, and humans hold onto them.

So, if long time ago there were some crises that required men to be made disposable, then this "worked" and as such became codified into cultural values, which are then transmitted for thousands of years, and any deviation from these codified rules become taboo, and heavily punished. Honor, pride, shame etc. all part of the cultural shitshow.

At some point humans accepted that men and boys dying is "necessary", but it isn't, not at the rate it happened. Humans are paranoid freaks who always assume the worst case scenario (that required disposability) and make that standard operating procedure. Just imagine HOW MUCH FURTHER civilizations would be, if men were not stupidly treated so disposably, but allowed to live, prosper, create, and produce.

Genes try to pass down what works and try to eliminate what doesn't. Humans try to do that with culture. But cultures are extremely maladaptive after their initial usefulness is gone. Unfortunately humans are not smart enough to modify culture. Humans are such stupid primitive creatures, they form religious beliefs and turn bad cultural norms into sacred objects. There was an experiment on rhesus monkeys that demonstrated this too.

Just because bad culture (disposability) worked at a particular time in the past, humans desperately cling on to it and remain stuck at very suboptimal solutions. If one were to think of Nature as an optimization algorithm, this can be expressed as saying that it gets stuck at (very poor) local maxima. "Barely enough survival and reproduction happened. Let's hold on to the cultural values that made this happen FOREVER, just in case." This is how stupid humans think and transmit culture.

The problem is that Disposability Culture (barely) "works".

On the opposite side of the coin: men are infinitely more capable of changing the world (for better or for worse). A lot of this stems from how awfully we are treated: "Suffering tempers the soul". You will literally always be the more capable person because of it.

It's all a matter of SMV. You've already mentioned the hard truths, but there also some good news.

Male to female ratio is always about 50%, for the very specific reason that it would be evolutionarily unbalanced for it not to be so. Yes, most women are hypergamic in nature but even if you're the last man in the SMV market list there are still ways you can improve and thereotically there will be women who will select you as a partner.

In ancient times women were frequently raped by the winners, or conquered and sold as slaves after a war. Monogamy has been introduced because it's an effective way to keep everyone productive; if that break down, you can have dangerous unbalances in the fabric of your comminity and society as we know it cease of existing.
