I'm an actor, I look up to guys like DiCaprio, Will Smith, Ton Cruise, and Warren Beatty. Despite whatever personal failings they may or may not have, I admire what each of these men (and others) have done and continue to do in their careers.

A few years ago I was talking about this with my ex. Here is the gist of the exchange:

ME: I really respect Tom Cruise. SHE: But he's crazy! ME: I like what Will Smith has done, too. SHE: He's crazy too! ME: ...DiCaprio... SHE: But he's a womanizer!

This cunt completely missed the point of what I was saying, and couldn't separate her personal judgements from the career achievements of these men. At some point in the convo she even said "you don't want to be THAT successful, do you??"

We are no longer dating, and my career is taking off in ways I never imagined. Meanwhile the last I heard of her (she's an actress as well), she hit me up to borrow money.
