Catfish.. here they're considered an invasive specie and the meat feels like rubber. We usually put a knife in their head and throw them back into the water.

Really ask around at tackle shops, those guys are always friendly and helpful For catfish really any decent sized river after a hard rain is gonna be good I have the best luck on chicken liver or cut up shad or brim but normal worms and shit works Also golf course ponds are really great, whether you sneak in or ask permission is your decision All depends on where you live really but honestly I just started out as a little kid with a cane pole and a worm fishing little ponds, and while the fish were never big it was always good action

There's this one lake in my country where at catfish is sure to bite about every 13 seconds! We used them as crab bait in the end.
