Who's gonna take care of you when you get old? The same people taking care of you: nurses.
[–]mma1357913 points14 points15 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Why will I need someone to take care of me? I will be in very good shape, I'm gonna keep eating right and exercising right. Plus I'm on TRT so my testosterone will always remain high, even when I'm old.
My lifestyle will be the exact same when I'm old.
[–]kayfab1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
My way of thinking too i am 46 and i train harder then the fatties half my age, don't need TRT cause my natural T is 680 i do take ashwaghanda and other herbs, if you keep fit you can live a long healthy life and not be a wuss who needs people to take care of him.
[–]mma135791 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Exactly, you can be perfectly fine when you're old, most people stop exercising and that's what fucks them up. My dad is 80 and he lifts weights in the gym 3 times a week.
[–]kayfab1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
99% want to but never do i been training for 30y, the number of people that came up to me for advise, and then try to compete 3 months i will be bigger then you get more women hahaha etc... then 2 weeks later they gave up.
My inspiration is Tony Horton, he is 58 trains everyday i love is beach body workouts.
Before building my home gym i was training at a gym with older members, some of them 60 and even 80 in the gym every morning, not lifting heavy but doing conditioning and functional training. I have a passion for training, am losing the unwanted weight i gained over the years due to back pain and bad relationships with fat ass women hahaha, now that i am fully MGTOW single for 6 years i am gearing up to build my best body yet. I will train until my last breath if i skip a day i feel guilty as hell... allergies slowed me down got a nasal pump and none drowsy allergy pills and i am back in the game.

Actually, since I take care of my diet, my fitness, exercise and train my brain too, I will be the one to take care of myself.
The average person eats like utter shit, sits on their ass for 15 hours a day, overloads their bodies with copious quantities of drugs, and never workouts. Then we wonder why most people require help as they get older.

Unless you have a job or income producing business you love, I recommend the following:
"Why," you ask?
Easy...
SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORK UNTIL YOU DIE.
Therefore:
This takes iron will gentleman, but pays off HUGE.
I'll be enjoying a life of 100% freedom as I'm retiring next year. Retiring at 95% of current take home pay because I followed the above advice.
P.S. If I had married my ex GF several years ago (we dated for several years), there is no way in hell I would be able to retire, period.
[–]mma135796 points7 points8 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I completely agree. Most people are idiots, you don't HAVE to work your entire life 9-5 at a job you don't like. It is a choice.
Most people need the money though, and why do they need it, because they spend it on pointless crap when they could have spent half that amount and invested and retired at 45.
[–]Itisforsexy1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yup. You can save enough for retirement even on a modest income, if you have no dependents. And if you have a luxurious income, it's a fucking joke in how easy it would be to save up enough.
You should put this here as a new post.

Is extremely empowering when you are the master of your finances and to have plenty of money to pay bills and live well while investing. I'm mid forties and could never have gotten to where I am at if I had married or had kids. I'll also add that it doesn't take a lot of money to be truly happy as enjoying the simple pleasures in life goes a long way.
[–]Zubrowkatonic0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
To your point (re: empowering), I can and do walk up straight, shoulders back and bow to none. I take what work I will and decline what I will not. Before I had earned some degree of financial stability and security, it was a compulsion to bend over backwards for every scrap to get ahead. The perspective change is profound.

I'm mgtow and broke- being mgtow and wealthy are not fundamentally inclusive. But I suppose it does help.
[–]misandrists_hate_him2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Just think how much more broke you'd be paying someone else's bills too.

I was scrolling down and laughed so hard about the ex wife picture. My uncle divorced a while back and lost his home that was around a million dollars and his business a few years later, plus he had 4 kids.

People are fucking STUNNED when they find out I got more than $1000 in the bank account. It usually starts with conversations about shit they'd like to do if they only had more money and always ends with people completely perplexed as to how I have so much saved up (its not really that much in the grand scheme of things, but WAY more than them).
It's as if every single penny that they earn goes to their wives/girlfriends and they get to keep the last $100 from each paycheck for themselves (of which they spend immediately.
[–]daniellederek0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I generally just keep $500 in bank account and a few thousand paper at home in case i see something I can flip quick for cash anything more in bank account is just a waste, may as well have it parked in a stripped bond on the investment side. Easily convertible back to cash in under a day. If need be I can borrow $20k at a rate of $3.25 a day to cover the gaps. I dont drink coffee so I don't even worry about it.
