OP's title is super misleading. The article makes no direct mention of adhd or boys in particular, just that distributing an hour of free outside time throughout the course of a school day was observed to make children more attentive and productive.

Article makes sense though. Anybody who's watched the dog whisperer knows that Caesar's top strat for "rehabilitating dogs" is running them until they pass out while his husky (pun intended) ass rides roller blades. Dog then suddenly becomes "obedient"

Simple answer is to separate boys and girls at least into their own classes, if not schools. Boys and girls learn differently. It's a fact, but feminists went ahead and infiltrated the school system to cater to girls only while boys fell behind. The pharmaceutical industry had no problem drugging boys to pay attention to valuable life lessons like the latest Mary Sue feminist novel they are expected to learn.

When i was a kid and also teenager i was involved in sports, we never had pills for anything that was back in 1980, now today teenagers and kids are taking pills at a young age to fix ADHD and lots of teens are suicidal. How can you be suicidal when teenage is the best years of your life........

I remember getting diagnosed with that and they kept trying to shove pills down my throat, but I always just flushed them down the toilet. Fuck that shit.

Then I decided to try Adderall as an adult and it made me super productive, but all it really did was make me super pissed off and refuse to sleep. So, fuck Adderall.

I work with kids a lot now. You just have to let them burn the energy. Then, what do you know, they cooperate. I notice it's mostly the women in this field (which is a majority female) that freak out on them for having energy. Fuck off.

I’ve been a teacher for seven years and I have said since Day 1 that kids need recess, PE, or both. Kids need unstructured time. Kids need to be active. I’ve spent most of my career teaching middle school and so many of my classroom management issues would have been solved with a 20 minuet recess after lunch ever day.

When I was in grade school during the 70s in Canada, we had a 15-minute morning recess at 10:30, an hour lunch at noon and another 15-minute recess in the afternoon around 2PM spent outside in the school yard--regardless of weather. We were allowed to play rough and tumble games like tackle football, british bulldog, king of the hill (on the "hills" formed by the cleared snow from the parking lot) and red rover...ONLY BOYS PLAYED THESE GAMES. We had fun, bonded as only boys and men can, and not surprisingly we were, for the most part, quiet and attentive in class. Today, rough and tumble games are forbidden, and when it's too cold the children stay indoors--these are "ingredients" for boys becoming disruptive in class. I still remember when I was in grade 3 after playing british bulldog in the wet, cold weather of late March....being soaked from head to foot and just slipping into my desk and quietly sitting there for the next hour and a half listening to my teacher pontificate on phonics, spelling and math (while warming up and drying out). We also used to play competitive games in the class room like multiplication flash cards where you went one on one with each of your classmates, or impromptu spelling bees...these were games that got boys excited to DO WELL and harnessed their competitive natures to "beat" their rival albeit in an academic sense. All of these have been done away with by the gynocentric teaching culture that began in the 90s--which catered to how girls' learn.
