I can be high value compared to other 19 year olds.

I completely understand what you're saying, and I see it reflected in my own life. I just want to point out that I've had success with women significantly older than me and recognize how they do seek out "real men" and not boys playing pretend.
[–]WhiteTrashKiller 4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I am assuming you're a Troll, but just in case you are not I will take a shot......
At 19 you may have the building blocks to be high value. It is quite rare for someone so young to put it all together as the journey has just started for you....
Stop looking for validation from a woman! They do not want you to share your feels. No woman you are fucking wants to be your Mom. Looking for that emotional bond you didn't get from your Mom in a girlfriend or wife is going to ruin you. It sucks, it is a lonely road and you are going to have to accept your place as a man in this world. You aren't a special snowflake, the only pleasure you will derive from this life is your opinion on how you've lived it when it is done. Until then, find another man to confide in as your emotions will only show the cracks in that faux armor you are parading around to a woman. I completely understand your issues as a young man on a personal level, but it is time to put those in a box and bury it. You may wanna talk to a professional about them to exorcise those demons, again I would try to pick a male therapist simply because all the training in world still cannot help a woman understand the male brain.....
Now get back under your Bridge and wait for the next Billy Goat

I'm genuinely not trolling. If what you're saying is true, then why am I even concerned about women to begin with?
I guess marraige loses its magic behind it and really does just become about finding good breeding stock and raising good kids...

Men can't give me what I want, they're far too cold and rational. Rationally speaking, my problems and what I seek comfort for are irrational, and don't deserve the attention I give them. I would simply hear "get over it", which is the correct response, but not the one I want.
[–]WhiteTrashKiller 4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Your statement here proves you do not even understand the role of men in a community, let alone women. I have very few friends I consider brothers. Ones that can come cry to me and vice verse and would think nothing of it for he is my brother. If they called at 3am I would have to put my boots on no matter what stupid thing they did to put him in the need for my help.
If you have not found a man like this in your life, you need to grow personal relationships more. You aren't gay for sharing your feelings with another guy, hugging them, using them for support when needed. If you were to be told "get over it" by a male you would consider your friend you need new friends.....
Your environmental and social educational history predisposes you for a need to be mothered by your woman(why is it men always marry someone that reminds them of Mom). Let me be clear this will absolutely ruin every fucking one of your romantic relationships for the rest of your life. And if you happen to have a string of real bad luck you will end up taking the bait with a woman who will manipulate you and use this to her advantage.
You need to do more reading and less typing..........

I think I understand what you are getting at. Should I let a girl in and know my weakness, in the hope that she will comfort me, she could easily use that weak point and drive a wedge in me to get whatever she wants at the time. Is it possible to train that response out, possibly by dread conditioning, or is it immutable?
[–]Moldy_Gecko 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
DUDE!! That's what you got from that? Thinking that training the response out is the answer? No! You're not going to condition the inherit nature out of her. For the time being, think of women only for sex. You need to hunker down and build male relationships. Close ones. Have you read any of the books? I recommend "No More Mr. Nice Guy" for you. It will give you really good insight into your own nature and why you need a "Mother" figure to comfort you. And it will tell you, FIND OTHER GUYS.

You say you are strong but then say you are actually weak and want your mom.
Your mom fucked up. You are not getting that from someone else. But there are other ways of creating safety, focus on that.
Girls want to have fun with Chad, not nurse you through your depression. And they won't invest the in a guy who might kill himself in a few years.
You're right, no one wants to deal with baggage people clearly aren't getting over. I was having trouble understanding why women are worth the effort if they can only give me sex and fun, but I see now that I was misguided. Being strong doesn't mean laying yourself out to people in hopes that they'll pity you, it means carrying your weight until you can do it no longer.
[–]TheDayTrader 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Dude I can see you have missed a lot when it comes to learning social skills.
You should be strong in acknowledging your weaknesses to yourself, and not fear seeking help from a professional.

So there is no way to fill the void? I suppose that's why it is a void
[–]TheDayTrader 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Stop staring into that void or you will end up being that void. It will erase your entire personality while you are trying to understand it.

[–]Bumblebro 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
It's fine dude. I wasn't hurt. Good luck to you too.
[–]Battle-Scars 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
You're seeking to fill a void in your soul left by the lack of love from your Mother with another woman, believe me, this is a fools errand and will only end up in a cycle of pain for you. You will attract and be attracted to women like your mother to sub consciously try and fix the void but you will only recreate the cycle of rejection. It takes effort but you have to re-wire your internal map of intimacy.
[–]Bumblebro 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
I believe you and have seen the cycle play out in my own life. What do you mean by rewire my map of intimacy? Where can I learn to do that?
[–]Battle-Scars 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Find a good hypno-therapist and have her teach you how to reach your sub conscious mind and walk you through dealing with your attachment issues. Read up on attachment styles of people, learn which one you are. It takes time and effort but is so rewarding on the back end. Good luck.
How can I determine a good hypno therapist from a bunk one?

Why has it been so hard to find someone to comfort me? Are women just incapable of giving me what I really want?
Basically yes. You can get a little support from women, but the second you need them they see you as their bitch and exploit or dump you. Dumped is the kinder and rarer option.
Women expect to take. They expect to just do whatever they feel like in the moment, and receive the rest of the time. Their contribution, their gift, their input to the relationship is turning up. And they get super fucking bitter if they put in more than they get out, in the rare cases where it happens.
The only way you'll get the support you want is to run dread game, be super high value, and have women compete for your attention. It's harder to get than sex, it's rarer. You'll have to find a way to communicate what you want without seeming like a little bitch. Which is hard, because you sound like a little bitch.
Is there anything more disgraceful than a beast too massive to lick his own wounds?
You really do sound emo now. You really are not as "high value" as you think you are. Fix that.
[–]soccerplusaviation 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
When it comes to women, the "emotional connection" goes as far as this. That emotional comfort you seek will only come after your have proven you are a high value male. If you want to be "yourself", yourself must have alpha characteristics, if you don't feel like your cannot be yourself, than my friend your not as high value as you think.
I see what you mean. Emotional weakness isn't a desirable trait in anyone, especially in a male that considers himself to be an alpha.

You sound kind of autistic and lack the ability to perceive normal social norms. I would highly recommend some sort of therapy.
Also, I promise you at 19 years old your SMV isn't as high as you've deemed it to be, unless you're Justin Bieber or some sort of celebrity. A "bright future" means nothing. Women dont care about what you're going to be, they only care what you are. Dudes applying to medschool get no attention from women, only the fullfledged doctors making bank do.
I hammed up my writing to make sure I'd get a response. But you were right about the social norms, so therapy is a good idea.
I can't really prove to you that I'm high value over text, but rest assured, I come across as high value, at least relative to my environment.
[–]Paranoidexboyfriend 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
What do you base your high value on? Do you have a highpowered job? Are you incredibly wealthy? (you, not your parents). Do you bench at least 3 plates, squat at least 4, and deadlift at least 5? are you a famous dj or musician? or are you just a god in your own mind
[–]Bumblebro 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I am almost always the dominant male in the social hierarchy when I'm in a room, and when I'm not I don't challenge it. I'm about 6'5, white, and have a handsome face, while also having a broad, athletic physique. I can have a good conversation with pretty much everyone, and made people laugh my entire life. I'm in control of my finances and am taking steps for financial independence. I've got clear goals I'm working towards and career opportunities I can talk about. I probably am a narcissist as well, but please keep in mind my progression.
I was an autistic beta a few years ago, when I was much less confident, and a lot fatter. I've often been told that I would be great if I lost weight and so I lost over 80 pounds in a year. Granted, I am overvaluing myself for the sake of my post, and I have much to work on. But I would be lying if I said I wasn't high value, especially compared to the people around me.
[–]Paranoidexboyfriend 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
So you're a tall goofy white guy who's not broke and used to be fat. Bravo

What you are experiencing is male mother need.
Yes, the red pill is bitter to swallow.

Try reading No More Mr Nice Guy by Robert A. Glover and also Models by Mark Manson. They have information you can use.
