I don't think everyone 100% gives up their former way of thinking. MGTOW as I see it is just an adoption of pragmatic practices in response to gynocentrism. Our lil sub mainly seems to attract the disaffected, and they come from all kinds of different places. Maybe some of us never really saw the benefit in the first place, maybe some were blue-pillers that grew tired of being used like toolbags, maybe some are MRA types still high on the dream of being able to change things via direct opposition, some others prolly former Tradcons that grudgingly have accepted that things have changed and aren't going back to the "good ol' days".

Thing is tho, the time they spent in their former way of thinking is gonna linger. You can't expect a blue-pill to just magically stop with the simp logic overnight. Same with MRA logic. Same with Tradcon logic. Shit takes time, yo. And more often than not, personal experience. A dude getting burned personally, or experiencing gynocentrism personally usually has way more chance of having his eyes opened than someone that just lurks. Not saying lurkers don't learn, just saying learning by experience tends to produce stronger faster change, or at the very least, make them more open to new ideas.

Also, just throwing it out there, maybe some of us try to NOT appear MGTOW on social media that perhaps could impact our jobs and careers. Or familial relationships, if they're still dependent on certain family members.

Also, I'm not saying there's not simps out there that use MGTOW like a fuckin hug-box when they get burned, just not everyone advertises it or should.

I guess many MGTOW guys stop wanting to be MGTOW because many MGTOWs make a cult out of it, a rather intolerant and dogmatic surrogate religion, that promises ridiculous things, a plastic happiness with pictures where guys spread their arms over wheat fields and then they suddenly have a Porsche and all economical and political issues suddenly don't matter anymore because MGTOW.

Then you have the tradcucks of course and the libertarians and this whole "American Dream"-attitude where people believe in individual solutions for structural problems, and just work/lift hard and pull yourself up by your own bootstraps and so on.

This specific sub here is pretty good but all in all MGTOW is often a rather nasty environment.

Any movement will have members whom are not really committed. MGTOW is no different. I suspect (and this probably applies more to younger men) there are MGTOWs who have not truly seen the worst of women and secretly wish to meet the one special girl for them - like she even exists. Once you have seen a whole lot of women over a whole lot of years, one begins to realise there is truth to the basic premise of MGTOW - that AWALT and "that" is shit.

I suspect a number of men who claim to be MGTOW are simply angry with women and see proclaiming to be MGTOW as a way of expressing that anger. This is not the right reason to be MGTOW. The right reason to be MGTOW is to realise the sum of a man's experiences with women (and women in general) are crap and to decide - with clarity and calmness - that being single is a far better option.

To get back to the original point - the suggestion that MGTOW is misogynistic - this depends on how one defines misogyny. Is it misogynistic to tell falsehoods about women to deride female gender? I believe it is, however the vast majority of MGTOWs do not do this. By contrast, most MGTOWs list numerous observable and truthful faults in women (and particularly modern women) that make them completely unsuitable for any kind of friendship or relationship. To my way of thinking, this is not misogynistic but is a way for men to offload the shit they inevitably cop from women (and make no mistake, the fact that half of the human species if female means you cannot completely disengage from them without great difficulty). Men offloading legitimate crap they cop from women also has the effect of being a community service by way of educating other men to the reality of the world they live in. Whilst I tend to agree with the notion of "The first rule of the Red Pill is never talk the Red Pill", it never hurts to drop a few hints here and there.

I think there are different degrees of MGTOW. Anywhere from full monk not wanting anything to do with women at all in your personal life to dabbling with them on MGTOW terms i.e. pump and dump.

Anything more serious than that is probably more getting into purple pill territory where you still date and want companionship, but take every precaution to protect yourself i.e. condoms/vasectomy/etc. and still have no co-habitation or marriage and if the girl becomes insistent on it after awhile, it takes very little to end it and move on.
