It's just another survival mechanism .

For most of humanity's 100,000 year existence there was no such thing as nuclear deterrence or nine one -fracking one. Humans lived in tribes ,and frequently a tribe got conquered by another tribe. We don't mean humanely bombed by precision ordnance either.

Conquered in the old school definition meant every male was killed or enslaved ,and the women as well. The women faced a very simple choice. They could be concubines for the conquerors and thus live, or "stand by her man" and be tortured & killed. What a hard decision matrix this is .

From a natural selection perspective ,women gain a lot more by abetting the conquerors then standing by the principles of the conquered. She didn't build the wrecked civilization; her man did.If she's being dragged away by a foreign group clearly the nation she belonged to was unworthy of continued survival .If it was ,she wouldn't be chattel in a foreign army. As such the "sociopath " who's murdered her whole family has proven himself a much fitter reproductive candidate.

So,morals aside, why should a woman give two fucks about a dead society ? In the context of the OPs story the kid in her belly is genetically superior to the beta dweebs trying to tell her she's out of line. It's just tragic that the beta dweebs in question happen to be her relatives.

There was a great Nature episode on PBS this week about the Tibetan snubbed nosed monkey. The film crew witnessed a bachelor monkey take out the alpha male of a family the harem didn't seem to mind one bit. The males it seemed, to the females anyway, were interchangeable. The males might be savage to one another but the females didn't seem to care too much.

The only woman who can actually love you is your mom, not even your sisters (Unless she is too narcissistic).
Hypergamy is always king. When the poverty rate is above 70% a dominant man with an AK-47 and in a financed terror organisation is higher value than others who barely make $10 a day.
Humans are still apes. Dominate a woman and she will become receptive to you mounting her.

Great post. Women everywhere have no loyalty to their community, family or religion.

I've noticed this dynamic among sikh girls and pakistani muslim guys. Just 70 years ago, the muslims massacred the Sikhs in what is now Pakistan and drove millions of them from their ancestral lands to become refugees in India.
