I have nothing against females that know their job, be it pilots, ship captains, whatever. Congratulations to her, well done! however I notice the media and public in general tend to excessively praise females for deeds that are just a part of the "good work practice", that basically any professional person of the related position should be able to do. Isn't emergency landing a requirement to get the pilot license anyway?

I still wouldn't trust her. Just because she did one thing competently doesn't mean she will do anything else competently. In a real emergency I'd expect her to shut down mentally as that is what women generally do.

Who gives a fuck about what the media said? The pilot did an amazing job and was composed the entire time. I would fly with her anywhere. Anyone that shows such levels of profecionalism should be appreciated. If you fall for the media bait is on you. Whenever possible take a listen to the atc recordings during the emergency
