Well, to play devils advocate. somewhere south of 40-50 percent of relationships end up in divorce. This leaves another 60-50 percent of marriages that remain stable (Without knowing the exact circumstances how).

Often times, these marriages involve aged out Chads with their highschool sweethearts or anything similar to that. Aka 'perfect genetic fits' on both sides, where both are aware of it. This happens rarely, but it happens.

What alot of people also forget is that fear is a powerful motivator, and alot of people are scared shitless of 'Dying alone' or rather, growing old alone. It's the reason why so many old men and women end up marrying and starting a new family upwards of their 50-60's. They realize they Sexual Market Value has hit ground zero and they fear loneliness. These couples then last until death, and the old age has made them both pretty much immune to natures heaviest instincts (Men stop lusting solely over looks, Women curb their polygamous instinct). That's why Grandmas tend to give such sound advice. They're a well of empathy and knowledge because their hypergamous ovaries dried up some 20 years ago.

Not to mention that any form of generalization is often times atleast inaccurate. AWALT is simply, factually, and statistically wrong.

Now, if one would say 'All Women under the age of 50-60 are like that', You're far close to the truth. Still not accurate, but a far more accurate representation of what await you in your life when you chase young pussy.

There is a difference between being told something there is no proof for does actually exist and being told something that does exist supposedly has properties that differ from what this thing really is.

I mean, I can see women. They are an everyday reality. And I have seen women acting nice and friendly and reasonable and caring. You are not always around when women have their NAWALT moment. So it is relatively easy to believe this particular lie, especially when it is partially true and when everyone around you is feeding that lie to you. And the sad truth is that a lot of people want to believe that lie, even if they start having doubts, because acknowledging that your whole life and all your actions are based on lies can be a very painful process.

honestly, i'd heard more support for their being a God than there ever being a NAWALT.

hey, i'm limited to earth and time and space are vast and complex scientific concepts, maybe God does exist, just to my perceptions i dont' see it. but there is always an "if."

whereas i've been to many countries, met many women. dated many women. seen my friends date MANY women and yeah, never met this NAWALT mythical being. God could exist but like the ant has no concept of my life, maybe we just don't have the scale or capacity to know what God even means. but a NAWALT. that's like a fucking unicorn. just doesn't exist. its fantasy.

I think it kind of boils down to blind hope. Anybody who has had relationships knows that they go south pretty hard, and often. When they meet someone new, wearing the blue pill goggles, They live in the hope that this one will actually be different. They even remain willfully ignorant at the beginning compromising their own values, and preferences to try and fit this person into their lives. Not a great strategy. Such is life as the pathetically lonely. A sure sign that you don't need an SO, or someone in your life is if you desperately need someone in your life...

Except there are actual NAWALTS. Sure there are very few of them but I have known some for over 20+ years. Happy husband loves his wife, wife loves him. They are 50 but look 35. Dream live. Unfortunately just a fantasy for most men but it does exist.

Hope I don't get banned for this. I like this community and feel I'm learning a lot.

My wife is genuinely proof that NAWALT unless she's been faking it even after years of marriage. She still stays in shape, cooks, cleans, is a great homemaker, pulls her weight financially and isn't insane. We had both been in bad marriages before with partners diagnosed with mental illnesses and neither of us was interested in revisiting that. Just a couple of months ago I was car shopping, looking for something nice to celebrate my 45th birthday. She gave me 5K from her personal account to go towards the down payment on an AMG CLS63. Great car BTW.

Maybe she's a unicorn? I dunno. Maybe it's setting ground rules in the beginning of a relationship and sticking to them. Maybe if you feel those boundaries being pushed you communicate to them that that's not acceptable under any circumstances. In our years together we've only had one fight and that was over me having this one female friend because she felt the friend was attracted to me. I told her that she wasn't, that I'm not dropping that friend and that she didn't get to police who I was friends with. She accepted it but the next time my wife went on a business trip that friend showed up and tried to hook up with me. Apparently everyone saw it and I was oblivious.

Hope this isn't coming off as white knighting, but I don't think any group of people, especially half of all people are "All Like That".

I would say my mom is a Nawalt to the best of my knowledge. Also my 3 aunts They cooked, clean, kept the house and even worked part time and helped. Of course they don't make them like they do now in this generation. I believe men hope for the best when they get in a relationship and hope loyalty and pair a bonding will keep the woman around. New species are found all the time and despite the awalt/nawalt paradox one must admit that some types are better than others. I can't deny that my highchool sweethart was brought up sooo very strictly catholic it would have worked for as long as I chose. I'll never forget how much her entire family despised divorce so enforcing that one in a billion unicorn fantasy is well within reason. But then you consider the odds and realize the margins are just too thin. You'll likely never find such a being so the best stance is to stop trying or searching for it but be ready for that 1 in 7 billion just in case.

As a Christian MGTOW, I was glad to see this posted, because there were a lot of non-theist comments. One of the best things about r/MGTOW is the diversity of beliefs and perspectives and stories. I'm glad the ideas on this sub are constantly challenging me. I'll still keep going on being both a Christian and a MGTOW, because both are important to me. But it's good to hear from my non-Christian MGTOW brothers, because I learn from their experiences too.
