It's not like you turn 18 and something drastic happens. If people understood that things don't work if your responsibilities don't match your rights, we would have a different society.

One main problem is that our societies are too crowded for our own brains to naturally work it out. Humans are capable of memorizing faces and people in the order of hundreds and that's the ideal size for human villages since everyone is practically accountable for every action. If you're an asshole to someone else, it will be known in a village of less than 800 people (approx.) so there's no chance to be an individualistic prick because it will bite you back. The main problem of our cities is that they have too much people, you can walk the same streets every day without having ever talked to almost every person on your way. You can really have large numbers of friends and acquaintances yet you constantly see people doing shitty things like throwing thrash on the floor, driving like shit, being disrespectful in general and never can know who they are therefore the wrong deeds remain unpunished. Humans behave a lot differently in large cities and now with the internet your social skills and social instincts are completely distorted, social media makes you feel socially successful yet you are practically incapable of having a conversation with the next person on the bus.

Hope that's legal where you live. Anything bigger than a nail clipper is pseudo illegal here. Also any knife smaller than 3 inches doesn't do the job properly in my opinion.

On the other side, victorinox swiss army knife are a good choice. Also those with less tools look more useful because they offer a better handle.

Totally agree. The thing is a good knife, something like the average knife you use at meals but one that really cuts is one of the most powerful tools you can carry around.

I used to have a 10 inch knife as a kid. With a compass on the handle and filled with matches, fishing tools and such. One of the coolest gifts ever. Bad thing I was afraid of it because it seemed really dangerous.

The real answer is 50 states, albeit 5 of them severely infringe upon the right to make it nearly impossible to do legally. California, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland and Hawaii are essentially in open revolt of the Constitution, but every single state has a legalized process for civilian CCW - hell, a handful of them (correctly) deem that a law-abiding adult with a clean record shouldn’t even need a permit.
