Hey guys. Made a new account to post this. I've gone on a few dates with a girl so far. So far she's told me that:

  • She used to be "known" for kicking people in the balls (said she did it about 4 times, all around 8th/9th grade, but still)
  • Opened up to me about being suicidal in the past and still struggling with it
  • Told me she's bisexual
  • Used to date a dude I used to know for 1.5 years who isn't really all that cool and might be hard for me to get out of my mind
  • Generally has a pretty low opinion of herself and told me that she sometimes spends full days crying in her bed still

Now, my dad died when I was 5 years old. The only person I really have to talk to about this kinda shit is my mom, who is pushing me hard to still go into the relationship and is guilting me for "judging her for being a human being" probably because I haven't really been in a relationship in a while and she thinks it will probably solve all my problems. I struggle with my own problems and I really think pushing someone toward someone else who clearly has issues might not be the best idea. She has some illusion that we can "get better" together and I simply don't think this is how it works; it seems as if it would be much more likely that two mentally unwell people harm each other more than it would be that they miraculously cure one another.

On the plus side, she's very attractive, she's into pretty nerdy stuff, and the first two dates she insisted on not paying and cooking me dinner at her house. I just don't want to get sucked into a big fucking mess because I don't think I have the skills to really deal with it.

So, maybe some other MGTOW's have had this situation happened to them before and still pressed forward and can maybe give some advice?
