Before texting, a guy told me that he drove old cream puff cars that he bought cheap and didn't insure for collision and comprehensive. He lost three cars to women yakking on cell phones. It is like they can't be bothered to pay attention. Finding cars like that was hard for him. Compounding that, he was on foot while searching. The dash cam is a good idea when they are messing up all around you.

That is why I "profile" every single car on the road around me by how they hold thier lane and speed, and presence of body damage on the car. I rarely even look at the driver since it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things.

If their driving bothers me, I pass at the next safe opportunity and put at least half a mile between myself and them.

Don't ever drive condition white. Be aware of the vehicles on the road around you, and drive as if they could do the stupidest possible thing at any given moment with no warning whatsoever.

I'm 33 years old and have driven over 500,000 miles on the freeway in my life. I have been involved in exactly one accident, and my only fault was making an assumption that a street sweeper wasn't being tailgated (covers your car in road grit); if I wasn't being cautious, I would have been paralyzed or killed. I have been the first responder to a seven fatality accident involving three vehicles and have seen many, many others in my journeys.

The freeways are scary as fuck, it is no place to be complacent, yet almost all are.

Buy dash cams facing out of the rear of your vehicle and the main one in facing the front. Cameras will save you in any court case and presents a strong witness in any vehicle incidents.

Eventually I'll make this a topic of my own but I was involved in an accident recently. First of all I date, and my gf was driving. We were traveling on a state highway at the posted speed. Another vehicle with two moms and at least three kids turned in front of us. We broadsided them at approximately 55mph. Neither the driver nor passenger bothered to look before pulling out in front of us. We both had broken bones as a result of the crash. The other driver and passengers walked away. Never expressed remorse for nearly killing us. I believe she also lied to the police. She was listed as the only occupant of her vehicle. Once the dust settles I'm going to pursue as much of a legal remedy as I can. I definitely recommend a dash cam from now on. Without it my litigation process may be tough given the inaccurate crash report.

My next vehicle will be some kind of Truck, Jeep, or SUV. I'm definitely putting heavy duty bumpers on the front & back with a high-end multi-camera system. I've seen too many trucks get fucked up from dumbass drivers.

They're not just on their phones but also putting on makeup while they drive. It can be pretty scary driving on the freeway.

It's why I no longer ride a motorcycle. About 9 years ago I gave it up after some near misses. I'm a pretty defensive driver, but even then some of the idiocy that was going on the roads was insane. Now, they barely notice my SUV much less a motorcycle in their midst.

Cute part is they always look at me as if i'm in fault when I honk at them.

I've been rear ended by a woman in a Mercedes while at a dead stop in front of a traffic light. Pity I wasn't MGTOW at the time, I was too concerned being nice than with getting money.
