FRIENDS, that knew me PERSONALLY, totally stopped talking to me because I called out their idol. That's batshit crazy. Seems likely. Black identity politics in particular is really strong, though probably not as strong since she wouldn't be the first black president.
Clinton nearly won for the same reasons and most expected her to win. The only reason she lost was because she was reviled by just about everybody - almost as much as Trump was. If she had even an ounce of political skill she would have won (keep in mind she was somebody who had never won a seriously contested political election in her life - for all her "experience" she was basically an appointee for every job she had).

Well, certainly nobody would be pointing that out during an Oprah election campaign.
It would piss off all the black voters in a major way. If Oprah did it then they'd be pissed at her - she already has the black vote so what does she gain by soiling Obama? If Republicans did it then it would probably drive a huge black turnout just to spite them, and even if they bought the argument it just gives them a different reason to turn out to vote for her.
Obama self-identifies as black, and honestly I don't really see any objective way to measure "blackness" or any other racial identification anyway. Debating the issue doesn't really work out in anybody's favor, so it is a bit of a moot point.

Money is only one aspect of what I'm talking about. There's a certain saying that's time-tested and true as old as civilization itself: "Nobody ever left office more popular than when they went in." Oprah has a ton of goodwill just by being who she is and her prominence in Hollywood. Even if I don't like her, the rest of the world practically considers her a saint. She will lose that if she goes into office, one way or another. You can't please everybody.
Another more important reason I think she won't run is because Oprah, having been around the block a few times and interviewed pretty much everybody important, is likely shrewd enough to know that the position of POTUS is mostly just a figurehead in today's world. Someone like her with a Type-A personality who micromanages every aspect of her business would definitely not enjoy going into politics where she would immediately start being pulled in every which direction by lobbyists, senators and Congress, all trying to achieve their own agenda.
Obama was young and naive when he started running. He made a LOT of promises he couldn't keep, such as promising to end the war, bring the troops home, shut down Guantanamo Bay, reverse the deficit, etc. But as soon as he got into office, he became a puppet for all the people who really run the country and did none of it. By the end of 8 years you could tell he just didn't care anymore. Meanwhile, Donald Trump is a glory-hog and Hillary Clinton was a power-hungry sellout who wanted to prove she could be better than her husband. Oprah has none of those motivations. She's an extremely strategic person. Strategic enough, I think, to know that she has infinitely more power in front of the cameras telling America what to do, than she would in office.
