The lesson here is don't let some dumb bitch's hysterics end your life. This was an extremely myopic, selfish individual whose actions led to another person's death. Both people in the car should have simply waved goodbye and made sure to shut the door behind her as she was dragged off. Perhaps even calling the park staff shortly thereafter.

The 2 people accompanying her allowed her emotions to greatly affect their lives. This is where they failed.

China- Japan for that matter- has some pretty anti-feminist stances. Women who don't have kids are mocked by mainstream media. It wouldn't happen in Japan if only because while they also have problems with raising narcissistic buttholes, they never abandoned traditional culture, which also held a very strong element of societal expectations.
