This may be speculation on my part, but here are some thoughts about why this is true.

We are all brought up to believe in "special" things.

  • You are special
  • Love is special
  • There is a special soulmate for you
  • Sex is only special in the context of special feelings of love
  • Your culture is special
  • Your religion is special

The truth actually is that none of these are special - they may be unique, but as with snowflakes, even though no two are alike, no one is special.

Thinking from a self centered point of view is the first dose of bluepill. "She ALONE is the one and only one for ME" - in other words you are so special that you're too good for every woman except "the one", and vice versa. There are no golden pussies, nor are there golden dicks.

Anyone with an ounce of rationality will understand that we are just animals driven by genes - lots of research (separated twins studies) has shown that people don't turn out differently by being brought up differently. It's all in the genes. Those who would not want to accept this would try to buy into concepts of things like "true" love, "soul" mates and so on.

Bluepill is an inability to accept the fact that a feeling of love is oxytocin, contentment is serotonin, lust is testosterone, thrill is adrenaline, stress is cortisol, post-coital fuzziness is prolactin (and so on and so forth). Instead most slip into the irrational idea that there is something more than just chemical computation inside the brain and body.

This is a deconstruction of identity, perhaps nihilistic, but by destroying the illusion of yourself as a "special" thing, you can treat yourself as a thing - a thing that can be improved towards the greater pursuit of happiness and diverse experiences (which are undeniably true phenomena). True humility lies not in self deprecation, but plain acceptance of the truth about yourself. It is neither glory, nor is it deprecation. It is about observing and picturing yourself objectively. Men are men, and women are women. AWALT, AMALT.

No one is an exception

Once you are dissociated with yourself at some level and let go of the false ego, improvement is like rebuilding an old vehicle - you don't weep or feel insecure that the car is busted. You work on it piece by piece, rebuild, sand and fill and paint, and fit a new engine.

You never say "why me" - because you now know that the answer is that you are not being targeted, you aren't that "special". If 100 women reject you, its the chemical and undeniable nature of women reacting to physical signals you gave off for whatever reason. Ascribing agency to non-rational chemically beings like women (as well as men) is as foolish as worshiping nature gods of wind and rain. Sure, many actions of people are consciously thought out - someone may act like a bitch, but the reason is because of something chemical. Think about it like psychopaths - they kill, and they plan and kill, but the reason they do so is because their brain is chemically imbalanced.

Once you are humble and lack ego, you can reach a point of stoicism - nothing can change your opinion of yourself, because it is objective, based on facts, not emotions. From that foundation of stoicism, you can be a true hedonist, because you seek pleasure and are not afraid of the hard work or discomfort that seeking that pleasure requires.
