This morning, I was barraged with notifications after a post I left in this sub a little while back was cross posted to two drama subreddits; interestingly enough it was posted by two different users around the same time. A bunch of trolls and white knights came out of the woodwork to shame me, but unfortunately for them, I stood my ground and roasted them mercilessly.

But for hours I was getting annoying bullshit (like telling me to kill myself) and transparent, passive aggressive virtue signaling ("I don't think it takes much convincing for somebody to think their better than you.") delivered straight to my inbox. I even got a few people asking for my personal information.

It was fun while it lasted, but the takeaway is that people will use your participation in this sub to disparage and harass you. A subreddit for self improvement, that teaches you to pursue you highest goals, will be used to tarnish your reputation by people who are bitter about being unsuccessful. C'est la vie.
EDIT: Downvoted within seconds, probably one of those trolls still looking at my account.
