So after finding FDS and finally breaking up with my LVM, I've been enjoying being single and following along with posts so I don't repeat mistakes.

I did go out on a first date the other day, and so far it went well. Mostly I caught myself falling into some of the same insecure line of thinking like what if he doesn't like XY or Z, but I was able to remember a lot of things shared here and got past it. I felt more like myself and had a much better time because of it. Also, the date itself was very nice and I have FDS to thank for giving me a new perspective on standards.

I know one of the things that is in the handbook is to date multiple people. I understand the logic behind that but I'm feeling a little nervous about putting it into practice. There is another person who has asked me out that I am considering accepting, but I'm feeling a little torn. I don't want to put my eggs in one basket but I think I'm getting hung up on not wanting to hurt feelings. Also dating during COVID is weird and I don't really want to be out and about, nor do I want to jump to going to their houses this soon into it. I feel like the uncertainty is some residual pick-me behavior popping up and I need to nip that in the butt. Has anyone else struggled with that? How did you first get back into dating again?
