First things first. I'm 5'5", same as you are. I'm 60 this past March.

So--now here's what you do. Get down on your knees and passionately thank God that He made you short. I'm dead serious. After having dealt with the dating scene, and after seeing what "favored" men have to deal with, God gave you a considerable blessing. Think of the bullets-- in the form of narcissistic women-- you will duck because these women won't even look at you-- or me, for that matter.

Then---- don't worry about it. Being "short" isn't a bad thing. I've had the privilege of being in a place where smaller men were preferred-- in fact only a smaller man could have done the job those guys did. Ever take the 5-Dollar tour of a B-17? I have, and not one of those men could have been very big. Well, at least not in height--- there's some folk who will tell you they were giants in other ways. Tight spaces where a tall man just couldn't fit---- that's where some of the most heroic men you'll ever read about served. So--- enjoy it. It's not bad, really not bad at all.

Being of average height for my age (~5'9) I never could grasp why women need taller men. Shallow as fuck if you ask me.

That's quite an order to be so picky about something like height when you can't even bring a logical attitude to the table.

Being a PUA and 5'5'' would be a strong disadvantage. But being a higher leveled mgtow and small is definitely a blessing. 'Dem gurls will leave you alone most of the time -> You won the game. Scientists say that you'll also live longer being short and look younger.

Important fact: Building up muscles is a lot easier if you are small because compared to a bigger guy he has to eat more to gain the same results. And you have advantages doing some exercises like bench pressing or pullsups (lower range of motion). Don't forget about higher swiftness and agility.

I am 6'3, 210 and fairly attractive, the entire dynamic is still skewed. I get some attention from cute girls but of course I am expected to make the moves and if I don't or I'm not interested then I'm an asshole.

Ultimately 9.999999/10 interactions with women on a personal, romantic level are a waste of time.

Actually, I don't mean to purple pill you but if the only reason you're MGTOW is because you can't get laid, you're not MGTOW for the right reasons, imho. My advice is that if you want to get laid go to a country where being short is less abnormal. Some South American countries like Peru, some asian countries like Japan. Many guys are about your height there.
